Never trust, always have in writing
Short rant - I stay in HSR layout , my housemate told me to find a place to stay since he would be getting his wife here ( he gave me ample time to search) , I found an uncle in the same building who offered to sublet his house to stay alongside his son , it was all peace and mutually understood to split any expenses. I was all good and happy , got the room painted and shifted all my belongings. 2 days later , this uncle straight up came up to me and said I have to vacate the place asap , owner is creating a fuss ,I asked him for the owners contact , he denied outright , and kept giving reasons. He now expects me to leave me home within a week ( how tf am I supposed to find a place within a week, my parents got involved and spoke to the uncle but no avail , he's been verbally abusive and illogical) Never trust people here , always have things in writing , you never know who turns out to be a snake. ( My sheer naivety has made me suffer now),be extremely careful out there!
that's a fucking lot man!! can you ask your old roomate to keep your stuff and stay with another friend till you find a permanent place? I am sure you will send M. O. M. s. all the time from now on so not asking you about it. tc man
In tier 2/3 cities we reach deals by just shaking hands.
In tier 1 cities, everything should be in written format.
Especially with landlords. Learned it the hard way. In 2021, i made a deal for renting a flat and just one day before the move, the landlord cancelled the deal because he got someone who was paying 500₹ more.
The landlord was a data science VP in Genpact 🤷.
Well, that's the golden rule... 10x important in corporate too..
Sadly It's getting difficult to trust anybody these days.
Also most of the time , society doesn't blame the cheater,
but instead blames the one
who trusted and labels him naive or stupid or etc ...
This makes me question , whether I should have trust on my own society 😅
