No idea - trying to understand

Faced this issue recently- amount was transferred by someone to my brothers gpay account: however it did not go to his primary account but went to another account attached with gpay . But how is this possible it should go to the primary account as per my experience .

Primary account- x Secondary account -y Third account-z

But it went to z instead of x

This has happened with me, it went to a third account which didnt even have a UPI ID But went to correct person and less amount so didnt panic

I see but trying to understand the reason is it glitch ? Imagine a person who isn’t educated encounters this kind of problem they might go bonkers and panic

Every account has a different UPI ID. Maybe the person transferring it used the third account's UPI ID(because they previously transferred to it). Otherwise it's highly unlikely if it was searched on a phone number basis and it does not go to primary acc.

Very bad. This was my everyday bank account for small transactions. Easy to remember account number also
