Non compete is not enforceable in India. You should talk to a lawyer friend and understand specifics of your contract. The article below is an interesting read
How high up in hierarchy are you? If you have/had access to sensitive information, probably them Paytm will consider fighting this non compete, if they do even

It’s illegal. it’s added just to scare of employees. Plus do these competitors companies even care about these clauses ? Am guessing not. Otherwise no one can hire anyone ever
