Resignation without another offer
Have u ever resigned without any offer in hand?
If yes what was the reason and how things went ahead??

Resigned cuz management was toxic and I was at breaking point. I decided to launch my startup and try my luck. Over the next 2 years I blew through all my savings of about 12L trying to get my startup to critical mass. Ran out of money, shut my startup down and took up a job that paid around 20LPA. This was 5 years ago
I appreciate your risk appetite, looking in hindsight any learning?
Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life. Don't be trapped by dogma - which is living with the results of other people's thinking. Don't let the noise of others' opinions drown out your own inner voice. And most important, have the courage to follow your heart and intuition.
Similar story as @BrainyPanda . I resigned due to toxic management. But in my case I have technical co-founders. Cost of building the tech for me was none. Also, I have given myself only 6 months to generate revenue or shutdown. Overall, it is a calculated risk, and personally I have learnt a lot.
Yep. Things were bad after. Had to go on a break and some awkward convo during interviews. Negotiation becomes harder. Your Interview processes are paced slower giving preference to other candidates. Without an active job/paycheck, became less confident and turn solitary. But you might get a better job/better pay after, but you have to be very patient and negotiate hard, even turn down some offers.
Avoid leaving without anything in hand.
Last month.
Still struggling to follow a schedule
But idk when I’ll start looking for a job again 🙌🏻
Toxic culture means, can u explain?
I was hired as a founder's office for strategy, but the work lacked collaboration. It mainly involved delegation and brainstorming, with no real teamwork. They only wanted someone to follow their instructions, and decisions weren't based on data. It felt like one poor decision after another. I couldn't see myself doing my best work there, so one day, I simply decided to quit. I don't have a solid plan yet, but I'd rather live on my own terms than continue working just to preserve my resume. (I quit after 3 months) :)
Done it twice. Both times less than 6 months more than 3 months break and got an awesome offer. I think it is about how confident you are, how you sell your break-time and realising that a better start after break is a small but profitable companies not chasing the big ones who eventually chase you once you are back in business. Most recruiters chase reluctant or passive candidates. Be that. Never show desperation. You will get reward.
Cool... explain more
Twice I left without offer. Once I took a six month break and the other time which is ongoing it has been 3 months+. Both times it was a take a step back to see where I am heading and what I want to do. And I didn’t really like the offers I had in hand. Modified my CV and pitch accordingly and targeted specific roles and companies. When asked about the break, I explained the need to reflect on where I was going, the need to take a break because I worked really hard in the year before taking a break to refresh, choosing an offer that matches my own 5-year plans so that I grow in my role and the role helps the company to grow or achieve its goals. Both times accepted offers that chased me hard and kept raising the money as well. I haven’t yet accepted the second one because I am still evaluating few other options.
It will only work if you don’t doubt yourself and are confident. Honestly there were occasions which made me ask the question but I would remind myself I chose this.
Just go on and LinkedIn and check how many companies keep reposting some jobs. I am not talking of small ones but the FAANGS of the world and unicorns of India and top MNCs and global startups. Which shows either applicants undersell themselves or there is no talented. Become better at what you do, don’t undersell yourself and you will get what you want.
This is me rn. I’ve dropped down my papers without anything in hand. This was supposed to be my last month but my org has requested me to stay back for a month and still asking to reconsider but I don’t feel like I’ll enjoy it here professionally or make ₹₹₹.
I’m just going with the gut feeling that “jo bhi hoga dekh lenge”. Don’t really have much in terms of savings cause as you know BLR is expensive AF if you ain’t making at least 1 L a month. No commitments as such so don’t have anything to really worry about.
Maybe a foolish decision but I feel I need to get out of this cause I’m not content. If I stick back I’ll lose my ambition and hunger and end up being part of the 95%.
What's the status now?
Well I’m still here at the company since they requested me to stay back for this month as well.
I’m kinda having mixed feelings rn due to multiple reasons and they’re not rational or sensible but mostly an emotional thing I guess.
Kinda getting the nerves since people are talking as if the job market is messed up and I have a fear of what if I don’t get anything better.
Im very comfortable here as in I know I can do what I’m doing in my sleep as well and my place as one of the top performers if not the best is cemented.
The all too common office crushes and romances. I’ve gotten the eye of a few and vice versa and now I’m confused should I leave early and miss out on what could be the one or will all of this not make much problems once I leave.

Is it necessary to have more than one offer given the current situation in the market. I am a bit scared now. Don't have the energy to interview more.

Please share your experience if you have resigned ever within 3months (or upto 6 months) of taking the job ?
If Yes, what compelled you to? And how did it affect the further job search ?
