Samsung India openly Racist towards Indian Employees?

Just read a post on reddit where OP mentioned there's blatant segregation policy in Samsung India for Indians and non-Indians. Very similar to how the British used to treat Indians with separate places to enter, eat etc.

How true is it?

That’s true! In LG & Samsung Factory were abused literally on the face & threw mouse/diaries in meeting rooms for improper PPTs. Worked 48 hours straight & slept on office desks, yelled unnecessarily, and even had to beg for leave on the day of your marriage, if you say you are not well then a surprise team visits your hospital/home to verify etc. There are millions of stories about Korean culture that can haunt to till your grave.

I get Korean culture is like that. But does the India office actually have separate entrances, seats and places to eat for Koreans where Indians aren't allowed? Isn't that segregation?

Yes, Korean folks have different restrooms & lunch rooms, food is extremely smelly.

In Factory they have different entrances & seats are pre assigned.

In Samsung R&D Bangalore, the food tables were totally separate but for good reasons. In general Korean cuisine is heavy on half cooked meat and is very nauseating for even people who eat meat in India. Koreans are very conscious of the repulsive nature of their cuisine and ensure they are seated separately. The other points mentioned in reddit post like scanning and baggage checkins are common for all employees and work locations (including Korea) which is to prevent IP theft which is a huge issue in Korea. Most Koreans visiting are quite respectful and don't expect us to confirm to their norms. The original reddit post sounds like it's written by someone who has never interacted with other cultures. Overall Samsung as an employer, apart from their rigid 9 hours in office rule was one of the chillest places when I worked there. They never screwed their employees and always were good with pay for good performers.

So there weren't separate washrooms for Koreans or separate entrances without checks? The reddit post seems to be from either Samsung Tech Noida or Bangalore.

No separate washrooms. Their office is normal software office though occupying two huge towers that time. All regular engineers used to sit with the rest of the Indian engineers. Their English sucks and they are all heavily into cosmetic surgeries but there is no racism going on in Samsung offices. Seems to be a rage baiting reddit post.

I live nearby Kia factory in Andhra Pradesh, I can vouch for the same .They have a history of treating Indians this way , they are in spotlight many times for only Korean restaurants near the factory.
