Things that should be stopped at Indian workplace

It's 2025! There are a lot of things that are wrong at our workplace and I think it's high time we stop them for our own sake:

  1. Work Life Balance, obviously tops the list. 9 to 5/6 should be 9 to 5/6 strictly, goes for both employees and employers. No working on nights and weekends!
  2. Culture of calling 'sir'😑. Yup, still exists in a lot of companies. This is usually followed by hierarchy & fear.
  3. Promote Hybrid or WFH culture - given our population, traffic, costs, and time. Still don't know why some companies want us to work for 5 days from office
  4. Rejection of our Earned Leaves. Like seriously😑? How can someone reject my week's vacation🙆?
  5. Discrimination and favoritism over gender, caste, region and what not🤮
  6. Zero f***s given about mental health🙏
  7. Notice Period - companies have 3 months notice period but wants everyone to join immediately🤷. Hypocrisy at its best! They can layoff in a day but we can't leave in a month. RIP Logic!
  8. Lack of clear communication - be it about salaries, promotions, work in general, mental health etc. Managers often ignore talking to their employees when it matters.
  9. Giving minimal hikes for current employees, but hire new ones at market rate.
  10. Internal Politics - damn too much, everyday, at every level.

I am sure there are more. Keep adding to the list!
