12.5yrs exp . Finally ready to quit due to low package , if retained how to negotiate hike

Having 12.5 yrs of experience , getting least salary in industry which am shameful even to disclose. Finally I have got some courage to switch .. after 6 months of rejection have cleared some interviews (no offer letter though but agreed for 100% hike ). In TCS they are trying to retain me by saying revising salary and onsite opportunity (which I have waited for 4 years and didnot happen) . What should I do next ?

Ask them for 120% hike and written confirmation about Visa process. If they don’t, switch.

Given u have 12.5 yrs understand that you have the power to negotiate hard. You should be like take it or leave it and not them making you feel this way

Don't fall for onsite. It's a trap! If they give you in written, they have other multiple reasons to reject later for eg. "You are qualified for xyz reason" etc. etc.

Ask for salary confirmation in written. This is only best you can do now, before you withdraw your resignation.

Get an offer letter from another company then negotiate in tcs. Your position should be' take it or leave it' you should realise that there are 100x opportunities outside of tcs. My friend switched from tcs after 3 years and got a raise from 3.5 lpa to 13 lpa 3yoe. If you are confident about your skills and still stuck at tcs, you are simply limiting yourself. I am probably too young to give you an advice. But with my limited experience of 5 years, corporates are ruthless and you need to learn to take care of yourself.

You never know ur salary may not be the least. But yes a gppd move in getting the new opportunity. But no offer letter yet then you can't say u got the other job. Whatever it is get it in writing from either or both companies.
