Don't lose hope; keep fighting, better days are ahead.

Is it difficult to live without a partner or find the right one, especially when you are introverted, at the age of 29?

So, I finally landed an offer with a product company as an SDE after months of struggle as a fresher. I hail from a circuital branch of the old IITs. Campus placements were difficult this year, so while I did interview at some good product companies (Microsoft, Amex, etc.), luck didn't favour me and I had tsettle up with a trading role with a low pay. (Other story why I decided to apply here in the first place) Most of the news articles floating around fucked up placements at IITs are in fact true and I decided to try my hands at off-campus placements only to realise how difficult it is to get even your profile noticed (yes, even with a tier-1 college). So this is what I did which I believe can help freshers land a job in this difficult market: 1) Simply applying on LinkedIn esp. via easy apply won't work. There's literally thousands of applicants within a day for a job posting. So try to stand out among the crowd. 2) Draft an excellent resume. Add things that you believe you can explain to the interviewer (doesn't matter if you've worked a lot on it, the interview is just an hour of you trying to make the interviewer believe the guy knows his stuff). 3) Know your strengths- are you good at DSA or are you good at dev. Startups would demand dev skills majorly, product companies would require DSA knowledge. 4) Start reaching out to people - very senior level people, HRs, Hiring Managers, people directly in touch with Hiring Managers, etc. Dm them on LinkedIn, cold email, and keep following up. In the case of early stage startups, directly reach out to the CTO/CEO. Sometimes, the jobs just don't get posted publicly. 5) Don't lose hope. I've had days when I used to get a headache thinking of the future and days when I had multiple interviews on the same day. The market is just tough, you're good enough and things might take time, but you'll definitely make it through. I got interviews at a couple of HFTs, and a few good product companies and got an offer.

Despite my considerable efforts, I have unfortunately failed at building my startup. I have lost all my savings and incurred a substantial debt from friends and family, amounting to close to 50 lakhs. Additionally, there are credit card debts that have adversely affected my CIBIL score. At age of 29, I have transitioned to a full-time job again that pays 30 lakhs per annum. Navigating through this challenging financial situation seems impossible. Any advice on how to manage this.

This question is to people who are in their late 20s or older. Life shows its ups and downs to pretty much everyone. And when you are younger, living with adverse situations that impact your mental peace and health, paving your way becomes difficult. All this can lead to uncertainty about future, can make you doubt yourself and your decisions, or can make you think whether you would be able to make something of yourself or not. If you ever felt like this, how did you handle it? What would you tell your younger self about how to navigate through these situations and feelings?

Was thinking about our lives. Ever since you are in school, you have something to look forward to. When you’re in 1st grade, you know next year it’s 2nd grade and so on till you finish your undergrad. Suddenly, you could be everything or nothing at the same time. Those who are good at this game of eternal growth end up grinding their lives away in the PCM -> Engg -> B-School -> Consulting hell loop. Weirdly, the determinism in growth fades away suddenly and you see people finally pursuing diverse fields. Then, the realisation kicks in. You’ve been conditioned to chase eternal growth. That is what brings meaning to you in every part of your life. Today has to be better than your yesterday, or else it feels like you’ve failed. I wonder how sustainable that is but till then we will continue to throw our youth away. My 2 cents: You have a brief moment in history. Don’t spend your 10 years of prime in doing things that don’t bring you any joy. Don’t make the same mistakes all of us make chasing joys because others are chasing them. Find your own meaning to this eternal growth.

My life has been fucked up from last 10 months. Too much work pressure and workload with daily grilling by seniors. Recently I interviewed with a research advisory, was hopeful that i have a chance to change my life by leaving this place. But after 3 rounds, I got rejected by the partner. Feeling disheartened and depressed. My confidence is at the bottom right now. Don't know now where to go and apply. It seems that I am helpless now.

I met my girlfriend during college, 5 years ago. We were so much in love. I remember we used to go on dates to picnics, museums and the works. I spent and invested a lot of money and time in this relationship. I feel that my life is purposeless now that she has left me. Her father is a very high ranking government official. He has gotten marriage proposals from very well endowed political connections. Apparently some ex-CM's son is out in the marriage market looking. I don't know why but I still thought we would make it. Like, nothing can come between us. She texted me last night that she was leaving me because I only make 14LPA. My hands are still trembling. I want to go be the best version of myself and simultaneously think that the train tracks are looking comfy to sleep on.

I am from a tier 3 college, going to graduate in 2024. With all these layoffs, recession scene going on I am completely stressed out. My college started pretty late, I am in third year within just 1 year of offline college and 1 year of online. Didn't really get time to learn and explore initially, I haven't done much development neither LeetCode, I feel like I am effed now. What and how should I start getting a grip on things? I have done basic HTML, CSS, know python and basics of JS plus Java, C and C++. I really want some guidance on how to proceed ahead with learning development, I really want a job and get out of my toxic household.

I have been in love with one girl double side, but now she told it wont happen we are different state my parents will kill you we can breakup, I become emotionally so weak my heart feeling heavy. how can i come out from this pain. How can girls easily start avoiding boys even they loved so much.

I have been unemployed for the past 6 months and have been rejected in a dozen of interviews. How can i get my confidence back?
