Confused feelings
Is it okay to like someone else even when you are already in a relationship?
No, it's not okay. I would end it sincerely with the first person if that happened. Else, I wouldn't pursue it with the second person and discard my feelings.
We've been fed a lot of BS about humans being polyamorous and what not. None of that is widely scientifically accepted. What has been widely socially accepted is monogamy (for thousands of years). It has never been okay to have multiple romantic interests and probably never will be.
If you love someone you just don't like/love other people in that way! If you do, leave the person you're in a relationship with and do whatever shit you want.
Yes. It's okay.
Humans are inherently polygamous / polyandrous.
However, currently prevalent social mores make you believe a 1:1 relationship is the only natural engagement, and so our emotional conditioning is tuned specifically for that kind of relationship.
What you do with your "like" is upto you. You can always like someone and not act on it. You can switch. Possibilities are what you want them to be.
Just do what works for you and ensure you keep your nose clean. Don't hurt yourself or other people in tbe process.
