Long Weekend Vacation Suggestions
Looking to travel for 3-4 days starting with Independence Day. Finding it difficult to finalize a spot given unfavourable weather conditions in many places. Okay with moderate rainfall type places. Travelling from BLR, with a small friend group. Please please suggest good spots.

Avoid long weekends they are thr worst to travel
What reasons do you need? Dont you see on the news how tourist places get crowded on long weekends? Isnt that a reason enough?

I just saw a reel where there was a traffic jam at Nandi Hills at 5AM in the morning. And the traffic barely even moved. Irony is , you think you'll beat the crowd if you go there early , but you end up being a part of the crowd.
Masinagudi is at the base of Ooty. You can try homestay there.
On the metro and some other places, I've seen advertisements of tourist places like Jog Falls. Now I don't know how crowded they get, but if you haven't consider going on a road trip to tourist places within Karnataka. I believe Karnataka tourism site should give good leads.
Better you take an extra day off and leave on 13th. Exiting the city from 14th onwards will be very challenging as everyone will have same idea (though if schools are doing celebrations on 15th, might be slightly better)
Addendum - Please avoid risky terrain though considering what happened in Wayanad

Jogfalls is best but crazy crowded and not much food options
But it would be best ( u can’t even imagine ) since all gates of Dam see opened
Weather is sadly bad in many places right now. I couldn't figure a plan as well so just staying in Bangalore!

It's raining alot right now
Don’t go anywhere near ghats or anything, roads are mess, flood everywhere, landslides etc. yesterday in sakleshpura happened, pls stay at home Or else go to Humpi or Andhra side.

Try to avoid as much as possible due to the rush, prices and potential bad experiences. But if you must, then the only place you should head to during this season is the south-east as it wouldn't rain that much. Pondi and Mahabalipuram are good choices but then they would be crowded for sure!

Take some time for self care..relaxing at home..mental peace is everything..going to touristy places on long weekends is quite stressful nowadays
This Instagram is a culprit I guess. Seeing the frequency of the travel posts and reels on IG and other social media, people overthink and take stress and come under peer pressure to plan and that is with family in such overly crowded places in the long weekend which becomes hell, 'knowingly'.
Never anywhere near tourist attractions on long weekends, you will end up spending the whole day cursing the traffic.
