I experienced this in my last job change. I simply rejected those companies. There are decent companies who pay for specific pay band for the role they hire. Apply to those, based on how good you are, once you make it there, salary correction happens

I want happiness in life, and I tried having more money, it did provide momentary happiness, but good relationships in life provided with long lasting ones. Ambanis wedding is not motivation at all. It is glaring proof of the unfairness of late stage capitalism. Huge amounts of capital can go on creating more and more capital until infinity. Even worse, a lot of it is debt fuelled and you get access to the debt how? If you are rich! For mere mortals like us, its all smoke and mirrors. You are told to work hard if you want to make it big. That couldn't be far from reality. In 99 percent of the cases, wealth will create more wealth and that wealth will stay in that family. Survival of the fittest? Reward for hard work? Lol. If you are born rich, get richer, have fun and die rich. But sure, you could be the next narayan murthy or bill gates, so keep slaving away 😛

Anant Ambani Wedding extravaganza!

Before I start my ranting, I am happy for Anant getting married and having the fun of his life. I hope and pray for him to have a happy life. I have the following concerns 1. Excessive media and PR coverage all events 2. Deliberate flooding of content trying to set narratives for Anant’s generosity in building a zoo in a geographically irrelevant area and abusing animals by putting them in a zoo with adverse climate 3. Excessive wedding events including Rihanna, beiber etc which could have a been private events This just makes me wonder, if this is the beginning of the fall of Mukesh Ambani. In south India, showing off wealth in a very abrasive public manner is considered to bring ill will and downfall. I wonder why the wedding couldn’t have been a private event for all their invitees. I don’t intend to morally police or demean their celebrations. Anyways, maybe I’m just too poor to comprehend the richest man of India.

Me and my wife are 30 years old software engineer with no kids. Draw 7 lac a month please some yearly bonus. We invest 2 lac a month combined into equity market through mutual funds. Expenses: 1.5 lac a month including everything, lives in Bangalore in good society, owns a car, don't thing much before spending. Still after everything left with 3 lakhs every month in bank account. Not sure how to use that. We both don't have any fancy "shauk" where we can spend and hence don't have an urge to earn more. Any suggestions???

I spend 10-12 hours at work and I have no time for friends and family. I also make good money (86LPA/6YOE). I have no time to spend this money. My family is happy with me because I am successful. I don't get the hype why people want an iPhone when they can't afford one?

Phone is a necessity. Ok cool, no problem. But expensive phone, oh sorry SUPER EXPENSIVE PHONE??? Not really. If you can't afford one, why do you want to buy one? EMI pe phone lena, does it even make sense? And why do you want to go over your budget and get a phone, on which you are only going to watch reels, and occasionally take some photos? If you have money, no problem. But if you are living on edge, you have bills to pay, you barely save some money, why would you in your right mind get a phone so expensive? Forget the phone, the maintenance itself requires monthly spending. Forget charger, cover, glass, apples very own services apple music, applecare, etc all those things are also going to cost. If you are not going to use those, and instead go for some cheap free to use service, get a normal not so expensive phone. You don't even have an apple ecosystem or are trying to get one in the near future. You are already not using half of the features the iPhone has, then what's the point? I'm tired of my friend's half cooked brain arguing over getting an iphone. No offense bro, but you hardly save a month half of what airpods cost. The market is so volatile. You should focus on savings for your own emergency. I don't see a need for why you need an iphone. Heck, I saw a rickshawala owning a 15pro the other day! Good for him for getting an iphone, but then how are you managing finances? Am I missing God's daily drop of money or are people really this dumb?
