If you were my husband, & I say I don't want to work. How do you respond?
Women can reply too. This is hypothetical anyway
If we are in a good financial situation or you need to take care of toddlers(prioritizing family) at home then I wont mind but if not and have loans going on then I would like u to conribute whatever little u can
@Jblio this feminazi post creator is asking you to reconsider marriage based on couple of lines in a comment. Then goes on to preach others to not assume anything. What an idiot @cuterusername is
I'll say,'Yes I also don't want to work, let's go to the mountains and settle there'
My question would be why ? Just wanting to be lazy and wasting away your education is not a valid excuse.
Oh yaaaa. Finally a worthy question.
Firstly yr, I would hug you to bed ❤️
Gonna comfort you, make you forget it for a while. After cooking the best pasta/pizza/maggi for you. I will bring it with the best dressing and serve you. (and I am assuming you started this conversation late night because you no longer can keep it inside)
Then while we are eating from the single plate, I tell you "you deserve everything you want.😊". Now tell me what do you really want.
Now fully comforted you start pouring out your feelings and I am collecting all of them 🤍
After understanding you, I guide you and then we build a action plan together. Then you hug me backkkk for a long time and love me and start thinking how you became so lucky
And after this, as always I would end every topic with humour - asking you to refer me at Microsoft before you leave 😂
Leave? Where would your wife leave?
Also, who is leaving such a caring husband 😂
P.S. I'm not in Microsoft, but an third vendor to them

My first statement would be acceptance. Accompanied by a what changed or why?
1. Not enjoying work anymore? - If you say yes, find a new calling that excites you. (Regardless of pay scale)
The discussions will include changes in financial goals, lifestyle changes, travel plans, family plans.
Thank you for the comment!
All previous comments 'assumed' the wife is lazy or doesn't want to contribute financially.
No one questioned Why until now
If you open your eyes and bother to read the reply the first line itself in my comment was "I would ask why"

Take my partner through the entire financial situation - income, expense, debt, investments now and simulate it for the next 2-3 years.
This is for expectation setting on what lifestyle level partner wants and how much we can spend towards it or not and in which categories. Example - want to travel abroad once a year, then we can do that but will save more/cut back on some other category of good to have spends. If there is allignment, then decision is fine.
This exercise is also useful in cases where one of the partner wants to take a break or startup and rely on other partners income for basic house running.
I would ask what's troubling her that she had to take this decision?

[BEWARE THIS IS A FEMCEL POST]
Hoping you would have a support system at home for all the non-work related stuff...

I’d agree, considering it’s hypothetical. I see it in two ways: me having an open discussion about our financials, reshuffle of priorities and that’s it. Another is how we’d be better with ‘the wife’ still pursuing the work. It’s a long conversation and carries multiple variables to be considered. However, If it’s a yes, no. I’d definitely lean towards agreeing + a discussion about the said decision, change of environment.

Hypothetically.. I would say..
Why?.. why can't I be the house husband?. What happened to equality?.. and I will go to mom's house untill I get to be the house husband.
Sure you can
if you say you want to be house husband, you would know house is 24x7 job. I'm totally up for it!
9 to 9 is a hell hole, if someone takes up the 24x7 one, it is really a win!
It's already given.. "He doesn't WANT".. Like means literally he just does not want to work willingly...
