As a woman in corporate, what are the challenges you face that may not be faced by men?
Pls only women, no men 🙏
Getting asked if I am planning to get married or have a kid soon as part of interviews or appraisals
If I get promotions or go up the ladder fast, then it doesn't become all about my skills or hardwork, it then becomes all about my looks

I think not having enough women in senior leadership who also have families - I think its quite apparent what the system promotes and supports. And because of such few women in leadership, the conversation around what more can be done by companies to actually enable women is also quite limited

Family pressure and very unsupportive family. They ask you to sit at home and take care of your husband and clean & cook and they will question you for being a working women.

- Having to multitask between household chores and office work
- Not being considered for promotion because I may go for maternity leave
- Not being considered for work which may involve stretching a bit on weekends ( even if I am fine with it)
- Ignoring sexist and stereotypical jokes
And the list goes on
Fortunately, I never faced any discrimination like what others mentioned here.
For me, one challenge is the period leaves. Need to take around 1 leave every month just for this and along with other leaves, it might look like you're taking too many leaves. Not all managers/teammates are comfortable hearing that you are taking a leave because of periods, even if you are.
And if there is a deadline, you have a heat bag, ice-cream, and meds on one side and laptop on the other, it's a nightmare.
1. Representation based on merit
2. No questions on marital status/ family planning ever
3. Support and metorship program (i am struggling with this)
4. Assigning responsibilities without it being considered as too much for a woman
