FOA, Congratulations 🎉 this is simply incredible.
I have soo many questions. Can I please get your views on the following
1) I'm thinking of Axis small cap fund for longterm
2) nifty 50 index fund again Long term
3) which app is this?
I'm currently investing on coin, though it's safe but as the amount is getting bigger my anxiety about not being able to withdraw that money is increasing since it's just a screen with a number. I don't know how many people will get this.
Not really incredible if you think about it. 2 crore is nothing, will get empty in 5-8 years max. Also, Uber is paying 2.7 crore to top staff nowadays.
I'm saying this as an underpaid bhikari at Oracle.

Got it from connects in the startup ecosystem used to host startup events. I make over 4 lac a month freelancing at present
Commendable. 👏
Most of the females I know (including my wife and her friends) don't take investing seriously at all. It's always 80C and NPS with them. Which is such a shame as they're doing great in their respective fields.
Would be great if you can share your journey.
+1. Got so many female friends earning well but none of them even think of saving properly

Maybe you can make them aware, only way is to share the journey of other women with them. So that it inspires them.

I know it will sound wrong but I wanted to ask like "Why mention woman?" At least in corporate, as I understand, we have equal salaries, equal opportunities. So, why is it still being portrayed that woman have it tough and can't make it to this amount. I think the mental pressure is same for both the cases, root cause may be different but both the genders face almost equal mental pressure. From my perspective, this is an outstanding amount saved irrespective of any gender. Congratulations!
So, please let me know if I am missing something. Genuinely asking.
Then it should be an irrelevant piece of information to you. Why are you bothered even if she shared it. Why have over 4 people asked her why she shared her gender. Men don't have to share their gender because society and history is on their side for a hundreds of years. This is for many girls in the IT industry and other industry who think they can't do it or won't be able to do it for a number of socio-economic factors. This lady is a ray of hope for them.

Amazing feat. Not sure why you mentioned your gender though.
You achieving this has to do with your investing discipline and regularly upskilling.
I'm sure this is how it works for men as well.
Nevertheless, great job. I hope I will be able to achieve this number 11 years into my job/freelancing.

It's not easy to be a women in this industry. Most of them drop out. I know because have seen most of them not work

Some of the women probably don't work cause a woman not working is somehow socially acceptable.
If a man decides not to work, he is frowned upon in society.
But that's a separate discussion altogether.
I'm glad and admire you for achieving a good corpus for yourself. Reading such stories bring me immense joy and give me confidence to do well for myself..

First of all many congratulations 🥳,curious to know mutual fund returns ? since when you started investing in MF? what has been avg cagr for this ? Could you please tell us more ?
Very inspiring. And thanks for being transparent. People are very reluctant to share success in personal finances 🙂
If it's not a problem to answer, can you please shed some light on your investment journey? When did you start? Step jumps in amount invested?
I do invest myself but I am a bit skeptical person so amount in MF is limited

I started with 15k in 2016 , I think I increased it to 40k or so in 2017 then 2018 onwards 1 lac a month more recently 2.2 lakhs a month
Great!
Apart from disciplined investing, another thing youngsters need to have control over is on spends on unnecessary gadgets which have depreciation. In my 15 years of career I bought over 15 smartphones ( for myself and family members over the period) , 2 DSLR + lenses set, 1 normal camera, 3 two wheelers 2 cars…and many others. When I look back now , many of these were unnecessary or could have been postponed :( .. in fact I became more controlled over expenses and started the habit of investing for last 6 years only and now , I regret on many of my financial habits I had earlier.
My advice to youngsters: Buy something if you really want it, not because you see it is available on 30% offer deal. Spend your money on things that have higher value in future ( gold , land , equity, metals ..etc)

I failed at individual stocks so I just do sips in mfs. 😅
No financial Advisors yet
Good decision.. if you can’t spend dedicated time in research and being on top of news .. stocks will be a losing proposition.. you can try smallcase though..
Asking again , what is your XIRR in mutual funds ? And would be possible for you to share the names of the funds you have invested in? This will be very helpful. Thanks 🙏
