Advice for not joining a company after accepting an offer.

I have been wanting to switch my job for a while now. I finally have an offer the product is good but the team is not ideal I will be the only designer for a while… I need to sign the offer by end of this week. One of the clause is if I sign and don’t join I’ll have to pay one month gross salary. What if I don’t pay it later on? What are the consequences?

Hello, So this is the first time that I am leaving a job because I have an offer in hand. The offer letter has a joining 2 months from now because my current notice period is 2 months. I am worried that if I sign it now and then go resign, my current company might create issues and say that due to some delay or something, my last working day will be a bit later than exactly 2 months and I won't be able to join the new company on the agreed upon date. But I also don't want to resign before I have signed the new offer, so that the new offer is confirmed. Do you have any advice for me?

Hi All, For example while searching a job you will get one offer and you accept also then in the 2 months notice period if you get another offer from another company how to talk to first company ? How you guys are tackling this situation?

This could be a rookie question, but what exactly are the implications of accepting the official offer letter and then not joining the company? Any legal issues can come? If not, then what's the point of all those formalities- these guys even capture the IP address, signature etc when the offer is accepted. Why all that fuss? Also, when exactly does an individual become an actual employee of a company? I mean, at what point of the on boarding procedure do I legally become an employee?

I recently received a counter offer from one of the big 4 company.. I had initially decided not to join. I am reconsidering my decision and would appreciate your advice on the potential consequences. Specifically, I am concerned about the risk of being blacklisted or facing negative if I choose not to join the company even after accepting their counter offer. If say I have 10-30 days of notice period, and if I do land a opportunity, how can I join the newer company on immediate basis without serving 3 motnhs. Buyout option is by having to pay the equivalent of 3 months, which goes beyond 200k. I am not willing to pay a company this much amount, given I only earned 300k from them. Should I first apply for notice period and then start interviewing or first land an opporutnity and then apply for notice period.

Hi guys, I joined a crap company just so that I can get some income and not freeload at home and I have been applying for other better jobs. My plan is if within 2-3 months, I get a better job then I will abscond from here and not show this company in my resume. I don't want a relieving/experience letter and I don't want the salary or PF. I just want to abscond as soon as I get the offer. Can the company do something, like legal action, if I abscond?

I have recently joined in an organization which is an Inc 2 days back. But today I got offer from good MNc company which has started interview process before receiving any offer . I want join in this MNc now how can I proceed in leaving current inc which joined 2 days back. In offer letter there is a clause mentioned that if I resign in 30days of joining I have to serve 4 months notice or I have to pay to buy notice period. I confused what to do now. I accepted an offer from Company A but explored other options and recently got a better offer from Company B. I’ve had second thoughts about Company A, and I’ve learned their salaries are often paid late.How should inform Company A that I won’t be joining them?
