Personally, I think the underlying factor for me has been being strict with myself. I try to work out 6x a week on a regular basis. Using my finances wisely with healthy meals. I mean, a burger from Louis Burger or a Pizza from Pizza Bakery is baller but in the long run that's a real killer. Finally, I have been trying to prioritize sleep which means don't scroll reels/social media for 30 minutes before bed if it is 1am already.

How do you manage your lifestyle for a healthy way of living?

And here I am eating junk food everyday and barely exercising 🙂

What are some resources that help you learn about healthy food and how to be healthy in general?

I really want to learn about the following:
1. What all food gives you enough nutrients.
2. Which food gives which kind of vitamins, proteins, fats, etc
3. How many calories you should take per day based on your age, gender, height, and other parameters.
4. What do u mean by fried, non-fried food.

Like I'm literally a beginner as you can see.

Hi guys,
Both me and my wife weight between 100-105 kg. Oru baby is 1 year old. We want to loose weight but we can hardly access gym due to tight schedule. We both have fatty liver , wife has got gall bladder stone and she is a feeding mother.

We want to reach first milestone around 80-85 kg which was out weight 2 years back.

Is there any free app to plan and guide weightloss. We heard like calorie deficit diet can help. Also cutting down the sugar and junk food.

I'm a fitness chaser who can't control what I eat. So I do okay. I want to restart my fitness journey but a bit structured this time. So what's your fitness regime that I can jump into?

Also what's your opinion on fitness tracker? I have my eye on Garmin watches but worried about their support.

 Pretty fit and the last body checkup showed everything is within range 
  
 1) gym 4 days a week. Not messing around here, I’ve been working out with the same trainer for 5 years 
  
 2) 1.5 scoops of protein shake post workout 
  
 3) no meditation/yoga/pranayam because I find it immensely boring  
  
 4) no sugar with tea/coffee. Skip breakfast. 2 rotis and chicken for lunch. 2 rotis dal and chicken for dinner. I’m a south Indian so rice once in a while is a must  
  
 5) full day fast once a month  
  
 Now I have a decent body and super proud of it

Had a regular yearly check up 2 weeks back and found that I'm diabetic. Both my parents are diabetic and I assumed I'll be as well at some point in my life as an inheritance from them but never thought this early. I did not tell this to anyone, not even my wife. Took me 2 weeks to get hold of myself and let the feeling sink in.
Started making changes to my life style since yesterday and started working out as well. Today is Day-2.

Health scare at 35

My Experience:

2 years back I was detected Pre-diabetic. Cut down consumption of white sugar to zero. Cut down on any food that has White Sugar in it (Biscuits, Ice Cream, Desserts, cold drinks, etc.). Became conscious of reading ingedrients/Contain's part when I buy any packed food. 

Developed habit of walking 8K steps or burning 150Kcal after dinner. My glycemic levels are now normal. I am no longer a pre-diabetic. This can be managed with active lifestyle. White sugar is a poison. Rely on Fruits to fulfill the glucose levels of your body. 

PS: After 2 years I've started consuming food having white sugar occasionally ( on Diwali or Holi and that too in limits). Never restricted myself from consuming naturally sweet fruits (Banana, Mango, Apple, etc.).

Drop your fav. low effort - high calorie recipies. 
The most common out there are the oats PB shake + Soya bean rice. 
Also any tips on how to stuff food as I generally have a low appetite and can't bring myself to finish the food infront of me.
