Dating apps are broken?

for many people (mainly girls because they have many choices), dating apps are like window shopping, if it doesn't impress you in the initial few lines then you move to the next person. This kind of thought process is bound to affect your in-person interactions. Just curious to know if you have noticed anything?

I've seen a bunch of posts over the last month asking for tips on optimising profiles on Tinder / Bumble / Hinge to get to date / casual relationships / serious engagements. Have people completely stopped relying on just walking up to people / meeting someone in person, asking them out and taking it from there? It's slow and requires effort but works better. Zero chance of being catfished. You can control the narrative and pace. Whats with being handicapped by the app?

It's the same story with so many platforms. They start off well, then start making it difficult for users over time to get matches. Eventually it becomes pay-to-match completely, especially for men. Is it really that difficult to run an honest matchmaking platform that actually does its job for a decent price or just ads? Has anyone tried starting their own or worked on platforms like these?

I'm having an Idea for an open source marriage app. (Not a business) Its made for youth, of youth, by youth for GenZ, Millenials who are not interested in the traditional constructs of society and is looking outside. How many viners here can come together for this project. Think of it like "The Product Folks " community but for marriage. 1. KYC Should be done only by the boys/girls. No parents/nosy relatives interference whatsoever 2. Their likes and dislikes is hidden for others on the platform until the other gender initiates a conversation with them and accepts criterias mutually. 3. It will have a bunch of mutually compatibility check sessions with feedback form for each other. 4. No AI allowed on images on the platform. 5. Fees collected from the customers would be solely for the maintenance and upgrade of the app. 6. Equal or equivalent criteria for matching guys n girls. 7. Proposing app name as Utopic !!! Would love to know the opinions of other viners . @biryanienthu I read somewhere you worked on an idea on this space and would like to know your stance/opinions/other valuable inputs on this.

Hi I’m an above average looking and average height guy. I’ve been looking out for a serious relationship for years now and it really sucks. I mean career wise, I’m doing great. I’ve a stable career with a good car and my own house. Something that women consider for serious relationships turning into a marriage. I’m also very religious, super good at heart, loyal, caring basically too good to be true. I’m so loyal that I stop looking at other women even at talking stage. Send flowers randomly etc etc. Now the problem is, apparently if you don’t play mind and manipulation games, or basically be toxic, you won’t get a good partner. Every woman out there says she’s looking for 90s love and nice guys who care for her etc etc. Then why are people like me single? Not only me i know many men who are good at heart being played by such women. Why are you lying girls?
