Dealing with an Entitled boss!

I thought I was the only one frustrated with meetings until my colleagues also mentioned they were not able to get work done because most of the day was spent on meetings Plus our boss (CEO) loves talking, anyway the meetings are agenda-less. He stretches 30 min calls to 2 hours and then has the audacity to question the productivity. Cannot tell me this, he gets very touchy when feedback is negative for him. And then writes sarcastic messages. Also, who wants to take up fights with person who pays your salary What to do in this case? I'm tired of working 12 hours each day

My new manager is completely devoid of common sense, an absolute yes man, doesn't listen to existing employees opinions and views who are below him, asks the same question atleast 6 times, and results in zero learning. Given the bad job market, I am stopping myself from quitting almost daily. What to do?

I recently made a switch and joined this remote organization. Off late, I’ve realized its a bunch of scammers and pseudo-visionaries who are running that shitshow. Surprisingly its a large company and money is flowing in. I report directly to the CEO and he expects me to ‘nag’ him or ‘spam’ him all the time with WA texts. G**ndu wouldn’t reply to my texts for days at a stretch, won’t reply to emails but call me out in a company townhall saying he didn’t hear any update. When I pointed out that I’m waiting on his feedback, his point was that I didn’t escalate! Who tf do I escalate about the CEO to? And why is it okay to expect an employee to spam on text messages. Don’t you want them to respect your time ffs? Goes on to only say how he doesn’t value his own time. Now everytime I get a WA notification, my anxiety spikes up. Is this toxicity even normal and acceptable?

I'm unable to understand what sort of entitlement does the leadership hold to ask their employees to work their ass off without any compensation for their efforts. Like literally bro just said that it's a 7 day work week for the next quarter and fuck your personal life and doesn't even bother to highlight that there would be any gratification for the same. The mid-senior leadership just acts as pawns and complies with this and in case you highlight this shit show you're fired.

I have joined this new company Individually contribute and work with folks onsite. I report to a manager who have multiple projects There is this guy who is like 3-4 yrs experience but behaves like he is the boss when manager isn't around Ruins standups every day with digressions and lengthy non sensical updates He started trying overpower me with some nasty remarks Everybody is fed up with him, With holds information, Treated interns as shit Even seniors are troubled but don't confront aggressively Got to know one of the recent left employee has reprimanded him and also shared the conflict with higher ups They are saying no use as he behaves well with manager and his manager I literally want to confront him and say to behave and act professionally With his snarky remarks some of my days going bad Being 11 years experience I feel so frustrated that I am still facing these narcissists Please advise how to treat this prick in a good way and stop worrying Ps I am all ok with years of experience always feel good work place is major contribution for any ones win

This was the job I so badly wanted. It's WFH. The actual work hasn't begun. Training phase is going on. It's not even training. They've sent me some material to read and learn. That's it. I don't know any of my colleagues well. I just hear their voices on teams meet. I feel like quitting already.

Interested to know how stupid can our dear managers get.

My manager promised me a certain role. But now putting me in different team, I was the one of the top performer in my team this year. I want to beat the shit out of him but can't do what to do now. He himself keep on changing company in Evey 2 years. And he is not a good person why I'm saying this because he keeps on shaming his father habits in front of team whenever we have casual gatherings. Like who does that. And ek dam phattu Banda h. Baat baat par HR mana karge ye mat Karo wo mat karo.

The one who - Keeps nagging with status updates - Pushes you to achieve a goal which is merely quantitative & not qualitative - Appreciates employees that show ‘first-benchers’ trait - Junks your ideas to satisfy his own ego - Pretends busy all the time Comment your experience dealing with such Managers.
