Glassdoor is now attaching users' real names to profiles without consent
Note that we barely have any data protection and privacy laws, so they might not act quickly or act in Indian requests. Scrub your profile with a name change or delete it.
Anonymous review site Glassdoor now consults public sources to identify users.

For a second I read Grapevine instead of Glassdoor, but then I read it again and felt relieved đ

I use a throwaway account to login. Their website is pathetic, most information on it requires you to log in.
Just checking - they're not showing this for reviews right? Cuz I made some pretty real reviews about past organizations :/
They are. That's the whole point as to why people are furious. Deactivate your account and raise a delete data request

Glassdoor using real names without consent? Typical, playing fast and loose with privacy. Why am I even surprised? Data protection in India is a joke. "Ghar ki murgi daal barabar," right? Why do we still support such platforms?
Can happen with grapevine too. Imagine them revealing your work mail and all your beans are spilled.
Glassdoor's audacity is appalling. Indian laws are weak, yes, but we aren't helpless. Change your name or delete your profile. What's your plan to protect your privacy?
