HPE to buy Juniper Networks
As it goes for any company acquisition, Juniper folks should be wary of massive layoffs coming their way.

Not just Juniper folks. There will be a lot of redundant products and BUs. HPE owns Aruba as well and they're direct competitors. So if they intact move towards integrating Jumiper-Mist's AI solutions, Aruba folks will get hit as well.
It's a great buy for HPE.
Aruba has the best Wireless portfolio. The rest of it is pretty sucky and always has been.
Big gaps in Switching, Service Provider Networking and DC Networking will be filled in the HPE portfolio. Will be interesting to see what happens with Arista next. They had a decent partnership with HPE and are now the last serious independent DCN only switching vendor.
Minor product overlap imo and won't have a huge impact on jobs, except for common support functions.
