One of my friend is fired with 7 day PIP. He was working in a Service company NeoSoft. It has 4000 employees and labeled great place to work. They fired him with 7 day PIP and no salary even for days he worked in december. No compensation. 1 day notice period. I am a fresher and as we are aware that market conditions are not so good. I have joined some job posting groups where recruiters used to post regarding any openings. One guy claimed himself to be an employee of a reputed product based company asked for my resume as he have shared some openings in SDE role in his company.So i shared him my resume and then he msged me that  he will assure my joining letter by 25th if I promise him 1st month salary 's 5% compensation and se***l compromise. What the hell is going on.

My senior  just got fired for questioning  his low appraisal from company.The guy literally build all the backend ,infrastructure and all. From which they are making money.
Management  said _ we don't have work for you here.And then when he said ok fine iam quitting  they didint even give him 2 months notice period. 
He was asked to leave that day only.

The Management is not even giving him 4 yr experience  letter . Telling  he didint serve notice period. 

His stack are angular, php,llm models.
One of the smartest guys I have met.

So group if u guys have a refrel please reply.

He is expecting  from 14_20lacs.

Learnings from layoffs

- Don’t buy useless EMI for expensive cars or gadgets. If you cannot afford it, buy one within your budget, there are all ranges available.  
 - A job is a contract thats it. They don’t care if you have lakhs in loan or dependent families. Treat it like a task which gets over after working hours. 
 - This is esp for those egoistic and sadist managers and bosses who derive their sense of worth from humiliating their reportees, making then work on sick and emergency leaves, and creating an atmosphere of bullying. 
 - No one cares about your job or career progression outside your office. Don’t make it important than your family and health and give the same treatment to all your team members.

Microsoft has lost all respect from me today. Guys please spread the word so that all come to know reality.

I am writing this post on behalf of my friend who is still in bad mood having mental trauma.

Yesterday my friend from Microsoft was let go from his job in India. He was being pressurised to write relieving letter saying he was quitting at his own will and that the HR apparently said if he didn't write the email in next half or 1 hour he won't be getting any severance or benefits by Microsoft India. 

Wait..who does this to an employee? He was so tensed yesterday that he is leaving for his hometown in few days, he doest want to do any job for some time, he was literally crying. 

He said the ones who didnt got laid off have lost the will to work. His friends who got fired are crying as it was least expected from Microsoft.

imo even amazon and sf handled the indian layoffs in a better way than Microsoft.

Other then that Microsoft peeps are not allowed to write anything rubbish on social media. You can yourself see 3 rounds of layoff have happened in India and you will rarelly see any post yet on LinkedIn.

Just imagine to what extent these firms are going to save their image. 😵‍💫🥺

Hey Folks.
I'm writing this as something unpleasant and disturbing has occurred to my friend at the workplace. Last month a friend of mine applied for paid/unpaid sick leaves of 12 days with a doctor's note for her treatment.  After approval from HR and managers (on the rejoining date), they fired her without notice on the joining date without any explanation.

I wanted to understand what are the legal options available for this? I'm perplexed

Hello viner,
A co worker of mine has been put on PIP by the company HR based on her managers feedback. Even though she got an average rating ,she did not get along well with the Manager and he got the HR to put her into PIP. HR here mostly follow what department leads tell them.

But there are some discrepancies :
1) HR has not formally sent her a email informing of the PIP procedure. This is all verbal
2) Her manager also hasn't given her any concrete milestones. He just said that she will be judged based on the feedback from fellow co workers.
3) Of late, the HR has been forcing her to resign even though the final date of pip period has not been reached.

Is this the normal PIP procedure followed in your companies too? 
Or is there something suspicious here?

Joined this organization as an SDE. Initially, had a great experience for the first few months, got to learn a lot. However, eventually, the management (co-founder) started showing his true colors where they would favor a few people who would say yes to everything the co-founder had to say, while others who asked for justification would suffer.

One such issue is the lack of concrete documentation for policies, and surprise, surprise, the policies change based on the mood of the founders. HR, oh, where can I begin? I honestly haven't seen them work, other than salary processing, where they have outsourced their work like LinkedIn management and basic tasks such as wishing employees on their birthdays. This is perfectly fine with the co-founder, as he considers this innovative.
Unnecessarily, we are forced to follow processes that hamper productivity, and we have to attend meetings for half the day. Still, they expect us to work for more than 10 hours when the salary is peanuts—hell, even peanuts are better; at least we can have them with alcohol.

My learning is saturated, and there’s no zeal to learn as the manager and others demotivate you. The most frustrating part is the quarterly rewards, which make no sense, as the rewards are given to people who can appease their managers (confirmed).

And now that we have increments incoming, they have all of a sudden started highlighting mistakes, finding mistakes even if they don’t exist. Like one such example was the co-founder asking us to write a script when the script was already shown, and asking for an update on a JIRA ticket when it was already given in the comments.

They lost my respect when they started canceling people’s PTOs and disturbing people on their much-needed PTOs where they spend time with their families and unwind. The co-founder asks the PO to call and disturb the developer on their much-needed vacations after working for long hours and weekends as he wants to satisfy his ego.
