Work isn't just hours. Work doesn't have to mandate giving a certain amount of hours. Language matters.

Apple has in return, rewarded their hard working employees, they’re one of the very few tech companies that didn’t do a massive layoff (maybe they did PIPs, who knows).

That's because apple has very high margins and a lot of cash in the bank.

Work is everything. In this day and age, one is identified by the work they do. I sometimes feel we all have a price tag on us. You’ll be valued and respected based on the number on your tag. Work is life, life is work. It’s better to accept it and work towards it. Your family- be it your spouse, your kids and your in laws respect you based on your back balance. The same goes for your friends. The richer you are, better your life is!

I understand this but those who achieved everything they could dream of, come to realise that - that wasn’t the answer. You should do enough to keep those closest to u happy and ur surrounding blissful. But u shouldn’t go overboard such that u miss on the simple treasures of life. If on ur death bed, all u have to look back on is ur work - how sad would that make u? Just have a conversation with urself around this

why not? If your work is what you love, even sacrificing a month less. remember (work)do what you love, not love what you do.

Man it is baffling to see this, if we replace Apple with zomato or swiggy, freaking pitchforks will be lighted up (when comparing PPP even they pay similar for SDE and Management roles + Ab apple mein IOS develop karna aur zomato mein grocery ke paise manage karne ke hisaab se, salary is also pretty good). There is a huge problem in India with sucking upto foreign companies.
