Is it wrong to speak my mind??
I was having a good time, while drinking with 2 of my best friends who were with me since engineering, and one of my friends suggested that I need to modify the way I speak when I speak to women who I might be interested in, as I am someone who do not have much of exposure to interaction with womenkind. I had a passive argument that I try to speak my mind instead of modifying it to appeal them or make it right in their way. He said that ‘this is the reason you are single’. I felt bad, not because he said this but he has little understanding of me on how I express myself.
I always believe that, if i try to butter my words or convey the things that come to mind in a more appealing way, then the girl I’m trying to be with will subscribe to the version of the way I am expressing my feelings rather than the way I am feeling. So it will end in a disaster any way.
Am i wrong here, what should I do?
I’ve never been in a relationship before so please suggest me it my thought process is wrong

You can talk to women how you talk with guys, but you're not going to be very successful romantically with them.
No one is saying you should change your core personality and beliefs, but while talking to women for romantic interests, you need to be a bit more smooth, charming, and flirty.
But the changes you need to make cannot be understood theoretically overnight, and it's a game of practice makes perfect. So while you can read some self-help books about how to talk and flirt with women to get some improvements, most of the learning will come from practice and trial & error.
So go and talk and flirt with a lot of women whom you find attractive, both online and offline, and see what works and what not, and learn and adjust accordingly. Soon you'll see patterns and you will stop saying the wrong things that turn off women, and you will start coming off as a much more smooth and romantically desirable guy. Good luck! 👍

Being blunt with women will get you nowhere. You need to practice speaking to women first. That means not saying your mind until you know for sure it won't hurt her in some way or make her feel uncomfortable.
From my experience it all depends on the girl, and how much you like this girl. If you get to know that this girl likes you as much as you like her… then you will be the nicest guy in the world!
