Kya kare?

I'm working as an APM at a startup for about a year now. I work with another guy who happens to be my senior, PM and both of us report to the director. Of late, my senior, i.e., the PM has been undermining my work when the two of us are working together, subtly taunting me that what I've done is pretty easy and non impactful business wise. He also disregards the decisions made by me, modifies the PRDs discovered and written by me and mails them as his own. Eventually, he ends up adding me to the walkthrough calls because I had discovered the features but then concludes everything such that he had owned everything end to end. Recently, both of us were given a documentation to be done by our manager, i.e., the director. I had completed almost 70% of that document, but in our call with the director he presented it saying that he had written that document and I had made a few changes to it. This undermines my work and visibility of my capabilities. I don't know how to tackle this situation, my manager is usually busy and leaves it upto this PM to allocate work, which he unfairly uses. How do I talk to my manager about this. I'm fairly new to corporate, just graduated last year and don't know how to handle all this. But this thing has been bothering me lately, really looking forward to any advise my fellow grapeviners may have.

I am currently facing a challenging situation at work and could really use some advice from those with more experience. I’ve recently joined a new project which one of the older team member is handling. However, I’m experiencing some serious issues with his behavior. He frequently blames me for things that haven’t been communicated properly and acts as if he is the boss, which isn’t the case. This has made me feel undervalued and unsure about my own abilities. Is this a common issue? How should I handle this situation? I’m concerned about how it’s affecting my confidence and performance at work. He even told me that I don’t clearly know what is expected from me and I don’t know how to do the tasks better. Any suggestions on how to address this would be greatly appreciated. Since he is much more experienced than me I don’t know what to do.

Hi, I recently went on a vacation and informed my manager (CEO) that I won’t be available for a week. He did not say anything but I could sense that he is not happy. On my vacation, I get his text asking what’s the progress at work? I Informed him about my vacation but he asks me to work for 1-2 hours ON A VACATION (This is when they promised flexibile work policy) I politely decline to which he doesn’t say anything. Now, when I’m back, he has started to micromanage and says my work is disappointing according to the standards? I could get that he must be unhappy because a few things didn’t go our way. But, his whole behaviour has changed and he has started acting hostile towards me. I try to ignore and carry on with my work but it gets on my nerves sometimes. Do I continue silently or should I confront? If yes, then how?

Not in a bad way, like not calling me something, but openly says MC BC etc I am not used to this kind of work environment, but they are 5-7 years my senior and there is no way for me to give feedback They just insert in random sentence like “Yeh data toh data hua hai bc” Is this really a common thing? What would you guys do?

I thought I was the only one frustrated with meetings until my colleagues also mentioned they were not able to get work done because most of the day was spent on meetings Plus our boss (CEO) loves talking, anyway the meetings are agenda-less. He stretches 30 min calls to 2 hours and then has the audacity to question the productivity. Cannot tell me this, he gets very touchy when feedback is negative for him. And then writes sarcastic messages. Also, who wants to take up fights with person who pays your salary What to do in this case? I'm tired of working 12 hours each day

I recently made a switch and joined this remote organization. Off late, I’ve realized its a bunch of scammers and pseudo-visionaries who are running that shitshow. Surprisingly its a large company and money is flowing in. I report directly to the CEO and he expects me to ‘nag’ him or ‘spam’ him all the time with WA texts. G**ndu wouldn’t reply to my texts for days at a stretch, won’t reply to emails but call me out in a company townhall saying he didn’t hear any update. When I pointed out that I’m waiting on his feedback, his point was that I didn’t escalate! Who tf do I escalate about the CEO to? And why is it okay to expect an employee to spam on text messages. Don’t you want them to respect your time ffs? Goes on to only say how he doesn’t value his own time. Now everytime I get a WA notification, my anxiety spikes up. Is this toxicity even normal and acceptable?

Me and a friend joined a company together as freshers. Over time we both grew our knowledge and got comfortable with our daily tasks. Our project manager happened to be from around my friend's place, and upon learning that, they both started having frequent conversations and over time became really good with each other while I had never spoken with the manager. And with this, the manager started having a bias towards my friend. And then one day, he asks my friend to take up the assistant team lead (ATL) position without considering anyone else, in spite of having better candidates for the role (people with 5+ years of experience). Now I'm being assigned tasks from my good friend. He sometimes tends to micro manage me, which I really don't like. But what I hate the most is when he assigns me bugs from his tasks, I mean it's his task right, why should I deal with his mess (bugs), and secondly I don't even have any knowledge about his task so wouldn't he himself fix the bugs faster than anyone else? But nope, he just doesn't wanna deal with it, and since he's the boss, he gets to decide who works on the tasks. I'm honestly not liking taking orders from my friend, how do I deal with this situation?

I report to a manager who have multiple projects There is this guy who is like 3-4 yrs experience but behaves like he is the boss when manager isn't around Ruins standups every day with digressions and lengthy non sensical updates He started trying overpower me with some nasty remarks Everybody is fed up with him, With holds information, Treated interns as shit Even seniors are troubled but don't confront aggressively Got to know one of the recent left employee has reprimanded him and also shared the conflict with higher ups They are saying no use as he behaves well with manager and his manager I literally want to confront him and say to behave and act professionally With his snarky remarks some of my days going bad Being 11 years experience I feel so frustrated that I am still facing these narcissists Please advise how to treat this prick in a good way and stop worrying Ps I am all ok with years of experience always feel good work place is major contribution for any ones win

I was regularly going to office & was staying in Gurgaon for almost over 8 to 9 months when i joined the company. Later. I observe that 2 to 3 people who were out-stationed (near by places) were only coming to office for a week or so. I joined that and requested my manager to let me work from home and will come to office once a month. (He let me do that!) Eventually i got married and shifted to Bangalore. Meanwhile story is i have very fluctuating relationships with my manager, he does favouritism and it is quite common in my process. But the pain area started when i am travelling from Bangalore and he constantly asking me (isn’t it difficult for you to travel and all ?, please do let me know if you plan to leave {just give me heads up} I m feeling very confused here - i and manager are very clear that there is no future here for me -i m unable capture a job or offer in Bangalore (I started searching from Feb) So all in all, do i have to live in this misery until i find job in Bangalore ? Any suggestions apart from job search. Ps. I am outstanding in my work

Ever since I have come back this week from Diwali break, it feels like I made a fucking mistake going back home and taking multiple days off last week. My manager is intentionally putting too much on my plate, while other peers are just chilling and laughing at me. Now, he is saying that we're running late on timelines because of me and I am a disgrace. He is laughingly mentioning to me that he will fire me. I have a history of clinical depression and bipolar disorder, this is triggering me a lot and I can't sleep really well at night. I feel like ending it all and leaving this company for good. I have savings worth 12 months of living expense. Is anyone else facing similar issues after coming back from Diwali?
