Mothers Bear the Mental Load of Housework, Impacting Their Well-Being
- Mothers often shoulder the burden of both physical and cognitive household tasks.
- Cognitive labor includes anticipating needs, planning, organizing, and delegating tasks.
- Research shows mothers handle 73% of cognitive labor and 64% of physical labor in households.
- This imbalance leads to higher levels of depression, stress, and burnout among mothers.
- Unequal division of household labor contributes to global gender inequity and affects women's health.

This is one full Load of BS. All these are based on western women. Not Indian women.
Even today , exception of the big cities most live in Joint families.. City based feminst women chase away everybody and want to live alone,
The life of these feminist women do not represent the whole country. Most educated people extrapolate the western lifestyle into our lifestyle. It is not a equal comparison. Eg- In most western places, one needs a car to go to the nearest shop (more so in the US). but not the case in India. you have a grocery shop at every street. on house hold task, financially moderately stable families hire a maid, have washing machines.
So lets cut this BS of extrapolating the western life style issues into India. Just because we wear western clothes and send emails at work, doesnt make us westerners.
