My career is a joke at TCS 🤡

I joined TCS 3yrs ago and since then I couldn't switch. I am planning since last year March but actually not able to work on it. Even I couldn't apply actively. Currently I am involved in a role which has nothing to do with development and I feel bit less confident. So I want to know why it is so hard to leave? Does everyone feel same? Is this ecosystem somewhat responsible for this?

Do not join TCS at the early stage of life with a low salary with expectations that it will grow after a year or two as promotions are very slow. If you are getting a role with a salary up to the mark go ahead but the promotions and hike totally depends on the project. As I know the hike at TCS is between 2% to 5%. Also promotions do not depend on your performance, even if you perform outstanding you might end up getting a 2% hike. Not worth it right. Promotions totally depend upon your behavior with your TL and manager. Even if the person does not work but does the chamchagiri of them it works. Once the project you are working in RAMPS Down the RMG people helps to ruin your life after that. RMG in Tcs needs proper training to allocate the manpower to proper process.

Tcs is an organisation where boomers hire genzs and IMPOSE values which were created when boomers were freshers and of course the salaries are also from that era.

I'm having 12.5 years of experience working in TCS, my client organisation offering me to work in their company with 40% increment from salary. Please suggest whether I can go with new offer or stay with TCS.

I joined TCS in December 2021 and have completed 2.6 years here. During this time, I've completed three training programs: ILP in Java, project training in Mainframe, and CLP in Adibalta. Despite my efforts, I haven't been assigned to any projects. I've faced repeated rejections due to my lack of hands-on experience and the unrealistic expectations of 3-4 years of experience from various project managers. Some projects were delayed or canceled, and others didn't release me from training. The RMG has consistently told me there are no suitable requirements, and my repeated inquiries have made me feel unproductive and strange. This has left me on the bench for the entire 2.6 years, leading to a loss of skills and making me appear lazy and foolish. My career has stagnated, and I'm still seen as a fresher. The situation outside TCS is also challenging, but I can't accept staying here any longer. My life feels stuck, and I'm unsure about my future, while others are progressing and earning significantly more.

Hi everyone, let me tell you a fact regarding TCS. In 2022 I was part of a technical interview panel and select a candidate. As it was a virtual session, HR was also present. Once I selected that guy HR discussed about the salary. You dont belive in same technology having less than 5 years of experience than me HR agreed to offer a package which is 30% more than my package. I understood the loyal value of my employment being there for more than 7 years. Its really demotivates me in terms of everything and now i hv decided to leave TCS and untill i am there in TCS wont take any interview atleast. TCS doesn't care about its loyal employee.

Hey Folks, I'll be graduating in July and I have 2 offers in hand TCS and Accenture. I'm in a dilemma about which offer to choose because many IT professionals have mentioned that TCS doesn't have as many projects, and its work culture is not that good. I'm also considering the long-term growth prospects and career advancement opportunities offered by both companies. Need your help in choosing a good career friendly company and also long term growth as an individual.

I have overall 14plus years of experience in both retail banking and customer service Having good experience in also AML. Now currently working as Business process lead in TCS - BOA Ofac support. I wanted to move abroad will this experience help me in a getting a job onsite. OR SUGGEST ME HOW I CAN TAKE UP MY CAREER. I wanted to move into IT any courses would help me??? I am getting only 8.64lacs per annum. How to move to IT from BFSI with this experience.
