One of my female friend recently got in touch with a young guy. Age difference is about 10-15 yrs. Both are currently single boy being about around ~25. Both re enjoying each other's company and conversations. While the girl has a troubled past (divorced) the boy is actively looking for marriage prospects. 
GV community - what are your tips for the female friend and things she should keep in consideration. 
Would be keen to hear the guys' perspective as well especially how you deal with relationship vs friendship with older women

How do we exist? Are we all living in a simulation where someone managed to program a conscience into each one of us? What are your views?

For as long as AI has been around (milliseconds on the timescale of humanity), there has been an increasingly negative view on job security and whose job is on the chopping block next

I submit the following points, and I wanted your take on them

1) True beauty is irrational: foundational and advanced AI models take after datasets and truths known to humans forever. However true inspiration (a genuinely beautiful new sound, genres of music, acting out of spite and creating something new) is so inherently human that we ourselves can’t predict anything that hinges on an unanswered question

2) AI can’t fix your toilet: weirdly enough, the jobs that require real world skills (carpentry, masonry, cooking, physical art) are not just safe, but likely to become future proof, while all our computer based jobs (most, not all) can be automated given time. What a fantastic return to roots. Evolution didn’t give 99.999% species opposable thumbs and we won’t give our AI overlord them either lol

3) AI needs a plug point: dystopian commenters say that AI can take us over. How? If processing power is finite based on available energy, pulling the plug can effectively guillotine any threat to our life

So many people on this forum wonder whether they’re next (some have found out already, and we pick them up and help them because we hate the future) but I hope we can laugh at these moments in the future because if I’m wrong, and Skynet really does figure out how to make things happen, then at least we will all die having seen this inevitable future and having laughed at it’s ugly face

If you have found human beings like this, I hope you protect them. I hope you risk your heart for what you feel. I hope you believe that you are worthy of something full, and pointed and real. I hope you never settle for less, because certain people are truly just rare, beautiful drops of borrowed light that find their way to you. You don't feel alien with them. Why are self-aware people sexy, it is the most basic thing

If you ask me, the purpose of life has to be more than climbing a self-constructed ladder. 

Like, it has to be more than a 3BHK in a metro, with two kids, a car and a prestigious job at a faceless corporation, 2 weeks of vacation and a movie on the weekend.

Isn’t this weird that, we all continue to fool ourselves? 

When you know nothing matters the universe is yours, and I've never met a universe that was into it. The universe is an animal, it grazes on the ordinary. It creates infinite idiots just to eat them.

Remember when you were a kid and had a school trip the next day?    
    
 You sleep all excited, over preparing your bag, snacks, your pocket money and sleep fantasizing the day forward.   
    
 You wake up on the morning. You are excited as hell. Although it's no different than any other day but everything feels colorful. You can't wait to hop into your school bus and meet your friends who are just as excited as you.   
    
 I think what makes life is worth living are these experiences. When you sleep, you have something to look forward to. Someone to do, something to achieve, something you truly enjoy or be passionate about.   
    
 If you are just going through days fixated on the coming weekend or planned holiday. That is when things get a little messy.   
    
 I'm in that zone right now. I try to seek the satisfaction and happiness inside of me. So I don't depend on materialistic or emotional to feel lively. It must come from within and its damn hard to cultivate.   
    
 When I'll have that I'll be off from this corporate for good. .

Ignoring foreign countries - I am sad when I saw people in India adoption non veg habits- 

I didn't understand when people are eating so they don't even realise pain, emotions, soul, that animal also a mother or father of small babies who wanted to live in fresh air and enjoy with their parents.

When I saw Animal i feels proud because we are so strong we are so configured and gifted beautiful hand eyes and legs gifted by our god and mother so it's our duty to help and support speechless animals who can not enjoy life like ours, Now humans thinks we are so smart and can kill any animal and enjoy the taste.

Animal waste thrown directly to river and harm for everyone - species living in water and same water we are drinking, In cities every dustbin is full of death bodies of innocent animals eaten by Humans.

In today's era where we are talking about space, chat gpt,12 Lane highways Development, Artificial intelligence 

So why not we can create artificial alternative food of non veg and essences and stop pouring blood of innocent animals in Sewage System.

And we can concentrate planting trees for better tomorrow for our child instead, Appreciate green farming instead of poulatary farming.

Everyone seems so lonely , i just see loneliness on each and every individual. I don't know why , i think because I'm lonely  thats the reason i see loneliness all around . I feel no body is happy or sad. But tired of everything. we cannot be consistent for anything whether it's studies , job , relationship , marriage . We want change in everything every now and then . But with same time we want a home where we can find our comfort. Where we can find our people.  Why humans are like this .why can't e be satisfied. Hi all

I was in the process of adopting a pair of cats (mother and child duo). Unfortunately, I’m not in a position to do so, my landlord is strongly against it and my parents are too reluctant to adopt, I can’t force this responsibility onto them. Both are litter trained and sterilised, the mother is half Persian.

If I could ever get to adopt a cat, this would definitely be it. I can only hope that someone here could help them out.
