AI is not magically gonna steal your job. It's just a tool, use it to make your existing workstreams better. You are in marketing and that is not going anywhere.
And if you want to build a startup then be the co-founder who focuses on growth/marketing/operations and leave the tech side to your other co-founders.

I am a software engineer with 11 months of experience. I have no interest in testing field and wanted to work in development roles from the start but my org forced me to work as an integration tester. Now I am planning to upskill and jump.
I have great interest in cloud field and believe that it is an emerging field, but I am told that AI/Gen AI is also very good field to go in.
Although l don't have any particular interest in AI and always thought that it is not easy to get good paying AI related jobs for beginners like me, I am ready to pursue, if told otherwise.
Please give me some advice/guidance as to which field I should choose as a fresher that has good learning and future scope and pays good.
Any advice/guidance is appreciated 🙂.

A lot of noise around AI taking coding jobs, which i fear might be real. Like not completely but you get my point. So how should one upskill themselves (especially the average folks, top 1/2% will not be affected in any field imo) for the upcoming shift? Like will data analytics/science or maybe ai/ml engineering jobs be on rise ? Should be start upskilling in those fields or any other suggestions? I would really like to know it from someone who has good experience in the industry or someone with good insight. Thanks

I completed my Computer Science from a Tier 1 Institute. But I am not into programming/dev and don't want to further pursue software or IT related roles. I have tried working in marketing and sales, but did not find myself learning hard skills over there.

In such situations, I have been thinking about trying Product Management. Preferably on the lookout of something which involves fusion of tech (not hardcore) with non-tech.

Please kindly provide advice from your experiences on what trajectory should I aim for. Feel free to ask any question in the comments. Thank you!

Had a chat with a senior PM today on the need of the PM function with Ai getting smarter. 

Engineers build, designers design, data people analyse things, and a business person has the mind to make money by leveraging the team. When a point arrives where Ai does all the IC part of Engineering, Design and Data, there won't be a requirement of PM function at all! 

Creativity, Empathy, Product thinking, all these skills will be owned by Engineers, Designers, Data  and Business leaders. These skills like "product sense" are something that won't hold the fort much longer because eventually all good engineers, designers and data people will have to develop the customer empathy and product sense to prompt the Ai and do their individual job better.


IMHO it is a high time that all PMs work to strengthen at least one hard skill to keep themselves employable. 


While I am writing this post, unfortunately I am also the one who is seeking a PM role right now. 

Any suggestions or thoughts you have on which hard skill to master and how to remain employable?

5 years back, I was fortunate enough to get into IISc to study computer science. I also had a choice to study at a prestigious business school in India. I decided to go to IISc as I wanted to work in tech post my masters degree. Back then I thought, if I still wanted to go to business school, I would take it up around 5-6 years post masters. 
Now, it seems like AI is taking over all fields especially non-tech strategy type roles where human input can be replaced with effective code+AI in cost effective ways. Functional managerial roles are being filled with experienced engineers who have a great depth of experience building products for their companies. Where will the MBAs fit in? 
With AI advancing at a break neck speed many more roles will be replaced with AI. Also, the MBA curriculum seems a bit stale given the speed our world is advancing. Need some advice.

With AI improving we see it is quite capable of writing decent codes, how can someone new to tech decide on what to pick up? Frontend or Backend or both.
