If govt wants to reduce unemployment, then they should make better labour laws. Have laws around what's the minimum salary a company should pay, so Infy, TCS should be slapped in the face to pay more than 3 LPA for freshers. Shut down companies that exploit labours. Send rich people to prison for tax evasion.
Ofcourse they won't do that. The blame always comes down to the middle class working people that we are not doing enough.
@MrRobot1992 - Totally true. Becoming an entrepreneur is difficult. But what makes it difficult? We attach status to each business. Start a cafeteria with space for 30 people to sit and serve tea/coffee, people will be proud to associate themselves. But delivering tea/coffee to 50 small businesses/shops, with a can, will be looked down upon. The problem with educated middle class is - they want to do a certain kind of business only. The poor do not have this problem their earnings as blue collar workers or daily wage laborer is small. So when they start any business, they are able to make it to have comparatively better life.
I absolutely second the rich tax evaders to jail statement. They’re nothing but leeches. Call me anti rich or even I’m jealous of them, but most of them have gotten help from govt to become this rich. But in return the only social commitment they seem to be having is giving jobs.
Actually this makes sense. If you look from an employment perspective, a entry level white collar job will probably pay in the range of 10-25K. Not everybody can get into software. Skilled labor like plumber/electrician might be lower initially.
If we check with any small scale vendor- 20-30K is not a big amount to earn these days, The problem in entrepreneurship is not the earning but volatility in earnings. Beyond a certain scale this volatility gets reduced. No salaried employment can match the earning s of a business, even a small scale/hyper local level business. These mudra loans help in reaching that scale. If anyone thinks am wrong? why do well educated /well employed people give up their settled jobs and enter to start a business. Because in a growing economy like ours, one can make the same amount with peace of mind.
You are throwing the same silly argument that BJP wants everyone to throw around. This same argument was given by a BJP MP, looks like a set pattern to come in coming few days
since you think this with political undertones, think with an example - Take a small home based food business. Which is mushroomed in Bangalore after covid. They serve a fixed menu , three times a day. Lets say the avg cost of order is 200rs. These are small businesses, that only delivers no sit in. Cost is minimal. assuming a 40% profit margin and a sales of 30 plates/per day, (which is very minimal). This means an earnings of 1,20,000 per month.
This is Election times, and Unemployment is one of the most weakest point of BJP. So they have been trying to throw all kinds of silly arguments to defend high unemployment rate.

It appears that this same defensive tool has been asked to be wielded by every BJP wing folks. Exact same argument was thrown by BJP MP Dinesh Yadav (aka Nirahua) in his recent controversial video. In his video he shockingly makes it an issue of Govt Job Vs entrepreneurship, conveniently sidelining the fact that privatisation too can generate lakhs of Jobs. He brazenly says that “there are only 80 lakhs Govt Job vacancies, but unemployed are many more, so the right thing to do is, you are educated, Govt is giving you interest free loans (he mentioned 2-3 different loan schemes), so you take those loans and start your business and create employment!!”
And I am pretty sure, in coming few days and weeks, we will hear the same line of argument from many more political leaders and supporters.
My point! Though they are not wrong but entrepreneurship is not easy, not everyone is cut out for that. We may have loans and finances setup, but no one is there teaching at every step
