Turned 21 today, feeling really, really old

I have been working at remote startup for last 1.5 years which is at the tail end of its life. I'm 24 years old and I feel like at I don't work enough. Being from a tier 3 college, I know that the only way forward for me is to work really hard. I got this well paid gig but everyone here slacks and does half assed work. So fellow grapeviners tell me what should I do? 1. Look for another job which will probably land me in another mediocre job. 2. Work part time for someone else's startup (I REALLY don't mind not getting paid for this / paying peanuts). As long as I get plenty of work with other motivated folks. I'm open for such gigs if any of you folks need a good mobile dev. (Also open to be a full stack dev) 3. Stop whining and enjoy the "work-life balance". I hate this option because full disclosure : I don't have a life outside work lol. Hoping to hear insightful opinions from you folks!

I am addressing folks who have progressed in their careers enough to earn at least 30 LPA. If you are earning this much in India, you are already in the creamy layer of lifestyle. You can afford a decent house, a decent car and probably save up some assets for children's education (A lot of people bring up the expensive school fees). If you get a salary hike from 30LPA to 40LPA, there is a high chance that your lifestyle will not change that much. Your savings will go up, but still it will take years to retire early in either case. It's quite apparent that if you want to improve your lifestyle at this stage (highest-end middle class), you will require an income source capable of providing leverage and exponential growth. Barring a few folks I know, everyone else is busy grinding leetcode, mugging up system design for their next job switch or even worse, kissing ass for the next promotion. Why don't enough people start learning about business on the side and slowly start investing their free time in learning everything they can about it ? I am sure it will be a much better time investment if you play your cards correctly for a long enough time (I am pretty sure this is still a quicker path to riches as compared to 30 years of SIP investments). Note: I completely understand that many people have monthly payment obligations like EMIs. And that's why my question is about 'aspirations'. I am not asking 'Why are people not leaving their jobs to pursue entrepreneurship?'. I am rather asking 'Why are people not even thinking about anything else apart from the next (disappointing) hike?'

Hi fellow grapeviners, I came across few posts mentioning i am earning 60+ or 70+ lpa having 2.5 to 3 years of experience but age is only 23 or 24. I know this is too good to be real. Some iitians can do but are these people real? Please answer because these posts make me depressed i don't know why?

Wanted to say Hi, what do you do, how do you see current phase of your life, how do you look at your career so far, and what do you plan to do in next 5 years, etc.

I will complete 3 years as a professional soon. Quit a Big4 to join a startup for better pay and faster growth but despite putting in my best work and leading initiatives, going above and beyond all the time, my peers are all earning better than me doing similar jobs. i never had a financially aware upbringing. my father put us through hell due to his bad decision making and despite me being very financially savvy, am unable to save any money because im so anxious I tend to spend what I dont have. i had to take up a lot of freelancing to aid my lifestyle but now im busy all the time and have no time to myself. idk what to do. idk how much savings my parents have since I live away from them and dad never discusses his larger financial plans with me. he also does not have a stable job even at his age even though I know he is v hardworking and does his best. i feel i will never have enough money to support my parents and myself and feel like im running out of time. also doing interviews to leave this shitty company as well which is lowballing tf out of me. im not sitting idle at all, trying to startup on the side as well. i workout, eat and sleep healthy, have a great social life. the only problem is money which im constantly worrying about. i feel its a generational curse passed down to me. I know I have 10x earning capabilities but its all so vague and uncertain. I have an amazing support system and I know I can talk to my friends about this too. just thought of coming here first please share stories if youve ever felt this way. open to advice feedback ideas. how did you get out of it? what can I do? what are some business/sales roles that pay really well that I can get into as an ex-big4 analyst? i dont think my current profile translates well anywhere. f*ck this company honestly. probably the worst decision I made coming here :(

So when when did you last cried? Are you emotionally stable ? How do you control your emotions ? I am emotionally breakdown point where I am struggling to find a new job( I know people will say u have a job but I have multiple reasons ) ,been applying to jobs with referrals and without too for SDE 1 role. But I am not able receive a single call from companies for interview from past 2 months. I am tired ,I cried today to fix my mental health ,XD nothing happened. 23M, YOE 1.4 years , Cloudops engineer CTC :7.5 lpa (if it matters)

A little about myself: 22, just graduated Btech CS from tier 1 college, got placed in a few tier 1 companies, baniya (relevant), and good at engineering in general ( won several actually honourable awards internationally, from government of India, some IIT random techfests, etc). Point of telling this being to get some credibility for the readers so that they don’t take me as a young dumb overconfident 20yr old. (maybe I am?) I really want to earn money, probably in my genes, my father wants the same for me. My dad has a decent wholesale business (around 1cr per year profit) and I don’t mind moving in it as well. It’s recommended to stay sometime in corporate to learn the nitty gritties of life and other aspects. I don’t mind that either. Personally, I want to get into entrepreneurship, but again it’s easier said that done, how to start, idea, implementation and everything else it’s just the tip of the iceberg. People of my age (some of them being close to me as well) have started their ventures and have got funding upto 500k USD and it makes me jls. I’ll be probably joining an MNC and will stay for around 1 year and then see how it goes. I’ll be really helpful if fellow grapeviners can shed some words of wisdom on how to go on here to a startup/business/high earning journey?

Thinking of quitting everyday because job is not something I like. Your thoughts?
