Unacademy layoffs have begun 🤡

Unacademy has just laid off the entire team of NextLevel and will be shutting the business. It is interesting to note that Relevel underwent a major pivot after failure and was rebranded to NextLevel. Gaurav apparently blindly wrote how this product will take on LinkedIn and make CV's redundant. Guess another unacademy experiment has failed but several employees are facing the brunt of the CEO's immature experimental nature.

Fake news. We haven’t laid off anyone. Those who have been laid off have been removed due to low performance. We have 10 yrs of runway. We don’t need to remove if performance is good.

It was embarrassing. In the middle of the post, he says — he does not compare himself with others. In the very beginning he had said — I am the only non-billionnaire sitting on this table. He is trying so hard to prove himself. I tell you what, he just wants to make money.
