Unified Pension scheme

Governor of India just introduced Unified Pension Scheme for government employees. At times when it will become very difficult for corporate employees to survive after age of 40-45 in post AI world, this assured pension which was stopped after 2004 has been reintroduced. This will bring back the charm of government job which existed in 1970s-80s . In 70s and 80s, private jobs were synonymous with lack of job security. Globalization brought heavy salaries in corporate world and helped in reducing charm of govt job. Now, in 3-4 years, AI is going to cause huge change in corporate world thereby causing huge uncertainty. What do you people think?

Now that govt has introduced back the pension for central govt employees... The private sector has started to suck just a lil more now. 😭 P.S. I know it seems kinda childish, but the human nature of getting jealous with others' growing is kinda realistic. It is what it is. Not saying anything's wrong with it, though.

Bro, you are earning. Shouldn't you just be grateful that you are not born in war torn Afghanistan or disease ridden Africa. I mean life could be so much worse. In fact, the only difference between you and the office boy is the household you were born in. If that office boy was born in your home, he probably would be as successful as you. You already won the lottery. Why not just do your part and pay the income tax so that the tax money can be used to provide a better life to those who are unprivileged. I am not excusing the corruption in the system but just find the cribbing unbearable Just be greatful

Hi peeps need advice .I am working in a govt PSU with a gross salary of 2 lacs per month.I am 33 years old having passed out from a tier 1 college. All my friends are in the pvt sector and are earning much more than me.Every time I meet them ,i feel a sense of profound sadness. For the past few months i have been thinking of doing a one year MBA program from one of the IIMs ofcourse and moving to the pvt sector.Whats your take on this ?

While Indian government reaps and enjoys the taxation of high paid IT jobs, there are hardly any responsibility in taking care of laid off citizens. I’m pretty sure most high paid individuals are irritated with the 10s of lacs of tax paid every year and yet not getting basic benefits from the government. No wonder so many HNIs leave India every year and settle in nations where high earning is nurtured and not abused. In my honest opinion, Indian government should do the following for laid off individuals based on their previous year tax collected. 1. Provide Rent + Basic necessities cost for at least 6 months or joining the next job, whichever is earlier. 2. Provide health insurance to laid off citizen and dependent individuals for at least 1 year or till the person joins next job, whichever is earlier. 3. Pause Home loan EMIs for at least 6 months or till the person joins next job, whichever is earlier.
