What's the one thing you can't live without in your work life?

I have generally seen this either in reel / film life or real life, where people who love what they do, tend to be -
1. Much more happier / satisfied everyday
2. They give way more of themselves into the task not because someone demands it, but because they want to, they enjoy it
3. They constantly improve and be better at this thing
4. They aren't in it for the money. They don't do things or learn more or put more hours because it's paying them, they do it because of the love for the thing. Money is just an add-on

Do you guys have anything like this in life which you enjoy doing so much and can do it without thinking about the money you'd get. This thing shouldn't be something you consume, but something you produce, even if it helps 1 person out, still counts!

Eg. You do coding, learn new things in it, not because it pays you, but because it's what you love doing. You'd probably still keep doing it even if it doesn't pay you anything

What is that one habit that changed your life?

Going to the gym. Very underrated life lack, I’m less depressed that I was a couple of years back, reversed at least 3 years of age and helped me deal with chronic back pain by strengthening the lower back muscle. Only wish I knew this a decade back.

Working, earning >1lpm, remote work

Over the years, I have realised I own no assets. 
Everything has been bought by parents EVERYTHING
My mom would always make sure she or dad paid, saying you can keep your money for yourself (which I initially thought was very sweet)
Now I see how I am dependent on them for all

What ever I have bought can be put into a polythene bag and that's all my life (I generally spend on food and stuff that goes away)
I have bought certain items for family or the house, but that isn't mine obviously 

I need to get out of the house, my mental health is at the edge

I want to move out of my parents home

get out, experience the world, and then you will realise there nothing better than home. 
  
 I was in somewhat same situation as yours, I have a very controlling dad. in my 12th I had made my mind to do b.tech from a very far away college from a different state. then stayed away many years in different cities for job. I now realise the importance of being at home with family. when we grow up our parents grow too. we(dad n me) are now best friends. we drinked for the first time together last year and that was a very special moment for me.

I am working as a senior product manager in a fintech startup. I am under a lot of stress due to work pressure, continuous badgering from business and tech stakeholders and loneliness. I always think of going home but staying in stressful job mainly because I don't want to be jobless. I can only post my views here anonymously because I don't want to be seen as loser. Request members if they can provide their suggestions.

PS : As far as my profile is concerned it's B tech + MBA from tier 1 college and 3 years of tech experience followed by 7 yrs into Product Management and living alone in Bangalore.

Deteriorating mental health

After working remotely as an Intern, I cracked a SDE role and moved to this new city. I feel homesickness now. I feel like running away from every single thing here. Everything reminds me of my family. I don't have much work experience but I'm trying to continue to work here and looking to crack another role in SDE but remote. 

This way I can stay with my family as well.

I don't know, I feel lost. This city is costly and spending so much in the initial month just to settle down was overwhelming and traumatizing.

Homesickness is eating me up. Planning to switch to Remote work.

Imagine this : You are in your 30s

You have your own home fully furnished, nothing too fancy but big enough to give a separate room for each family member

You have a family car.. Not a luxury one, just a normal mid sized SUV

U have no loans, no emi, no obligations

You don't make a crazy amount but have some job security making early 6 figures a month..

 6. Macbook chargers for phones. Long wired helps us use phones on bed, etc 
  
 Home: 
 1. LG washing machine with dryer – ensures from machine directly we can put clothes back into cupboard without having to dry! 
 2. Double door large fridge – two of us, but we have a larger high-quality fridge; it helps us cook and store for 2-3 days at a time 
 3. 32Ltr Microwave with grill option – wife bakes on the weekends  
 4. Air Purifier 
 5. In-house CCTV - wifi controlled + 360 moveable; helps us keep an eye on our pets 
 6. Verna – petrol manual transmission with good Bluetooth audio system + navigation. Both of us are petrolheads. Helps us travel anywhere across the country with a lot of luggage.

 1. Dyson vacuum with pet grooming accessory  
 2. Airfryer 
 3. Glasstop induction stove + utensils upgrade – never have to worry about gas connection etc

Noticing a massive improvement in sleep quality after getting all black sun blocking curtains. Especially considering the stress from work that is making me die on the inside, getting some sleep is a respite.

A gym memberships or home gym or something towards your physical health. No matter how healthy you are, your body needs to be more active since we spend most of our time sitting.
