Does switching companies frequently a bad thing ?

Hi Folks, so one my friend tells me that if you keep changing jobs / companies as frequently as within a year or so it creates bad impact of us and the chances of getting hired by other companies are less.

Does this really effect on our resume or career? Does Hiring Managers check this as point before selecting any candidates ? Really wanna know as if we don’t switch we can’t survive in this companies for the salary they pay us.

Yes that is true. Not in early stage but later when you become senior your last 2 stints need to be advice 3 years each

Switching jobs frequently? That's like changing clothes because they're not gold. Loyalty's scarce, but gold-diggers are aplenty.

Not about gold or silver but what if the clothes have loop holes and if the clothes looks fine outside but inside it’s not comfortable or the fabric is not suitable for your body. Haha

Depends on the company you are moving out. If you are switching from byjus, then I would call it a great decision. On serious note, it depends on the skill set and what value you can add to their company. These fuckers will hire a sexual harasser if it helps them. These people have no standards.

Hahah that’s true I agree! These companies no matter how much you sacrifice your time , your skills in the last you’re just an employee and can easily be replaceable! So just do the designated work n leave 🙂

Depends on why the switch! I switched 5 jobs in 9 years. Complete at least a year before you switch. If you are switching for salary correction, or to reskill yourself, it doesn’t matter. As you get to a senior role (manager & above) - shifting within an year can be a red flag for the recruiters.

Depends on who's interviewing you. I've switched 7 times in 16 yrs and am able to justify, but, have only been asked to when the interviewer hasn't switched as much as I have.
