Got an offer from LTI as Specialist Software Engineer and I am confused as fuck.

Got an offer from LTI as Specialist Software Engineer. I am getting arnd 40% hike on my basic.

The issue is I am in a stable company with decent WLB and avg hikes are similar to inflation levels.

Have heard LTI has a bad hike culture and wlb is project dependent.

My only good thing is a NP of 30 days in my current org and no calls on weekend.

Any advice will be helpful.

Lti is very bad culture, well known. I would advise against messing with something good that's working for you already. Is there any particular reason why you want a hike?

My current organisation had put me in a PIP courtsey, my leads not supporting me.

Now have cleared the PIP arnd 5 months back. Still feeling unsure about the hike I may get next year.

Option 1: Try to negotiate with your current company for pay raise before/after resign.

Option 2: Keep finding better offers in one month and join a better company.

Option 3: Join where you have got the offer from. If you don't like it there then in a year or two you can re-join your current company back.

Trust me I was in the exact same place as you are right now and I switched. My probation has been extended, there is extreme work pressure, toxic seniors who expect me to work all the fucking time.

It’s so overwhelming for me that I consider resigning and taking a break. I have my wedding this December. Don’t know what I’ll be doing without a job after getting married.

Value what you have. Hustle for a good hike in your own company, I’d suggest. Don’t be in my shoes, I pray.

Hey, did you joined a SBC or somewhere else?

Yes, beneath all this madness, I do value my organisation and had my seniors spoke good about me to the mgmt and decent ratings, I might not even switch in the near future.

I really do understand what you’re trying to say here and I hope you find peace. Quit this, prepare for a new job and if it’s all works out, I am sure your spouse will and have to understand.

See if you can earn a little in the free time that you have. Even with a 40% hike if you don't have work life balance it's not worth it. 40% - taxes, see how much difference that it makes per month and decide. If you have to relocate to a different place/city, see the savings vs expenses

For now the office is arnd 7km from my home. Baaki, I don’t know where will I be relocated for projects needs.

The difference currently is arnd 35-40k per month, after taxes, if I account for this year pay.
Next year I will be getting a hike in Mar and then it may be reduced to arnd 30k pm.

This is the only thing that is bothering me.
I do have a 30 days NP and a decent org wlb.

LTIM has leadership shake ups every now and then after merger, nothing is certain things change very much all the time. Better if you avoid it.
