Should we let the recruiter or agency people know we’ve been impacted layoffs and available immediately or should we handle it differently.

Recently i got laid off. Now that i start appearing for interviews should i make it explicit i was laid off and i am ready to join immediately. Or should I state something else as the reason of a break that might be there post 1st April ?
