No Work Life balance

A friend working at "ApMosys Technologies" in Navi Mumbai is putting in over 10 hours a day without any weekend breaks or weekly leave.

While commitment to work is important, such a demanding schedule is unsustainable and can harm both mental and physical health. Employees need proper work-life balance to stay productive and motivated. Continuous long hours without rest often lead to burnout and stress. It's crucial for companies to ensure their workforce is treated fairly with adequate time off, which not only benefits the employees but also contributes to the organization's overall success.

As long as the pay is good, i think work life balance should not be seen. When i mean good, i mean atleast 30+LPA. go thru the drudgery for 2/3 years and then quit. Thats how it has to be seen. if one wants good work life balance,, dont look for higher pay, and keep switching until one finds the sweet spot.

Work Life Balance

I see a lot of posts about WLB, I want to know what do you consider as a decent WLB. I will go first.

  1. Leave early if the work for that day is done
  2. No pings and calls post work hours, there are always exceptions and thats okay, ...

Rule of thumb If you get work thoughts outside 9-6 or weekends, it's not WLB.

Micro-management is the biggest red flag for me and also night shifts.

This WLB is a shit dream; just a lie. Org like Google is pushing AI team more than 80 hours a week!
