My current company has given me a golden handshake for one month since project did not take off. My wife business is doing really well and she wants to open a 2nd place. She said she will manage everything including our monthly expenses and children education etc. She is super confident and at the same time doesn't want me to rush into something that will damage my mental health and has even offered me to help her in some capacity in her business.
I actually let go of an offer giving me a 18 percent hike only and also didn't feel comfortable with the role and company.
Do you think what I am doing is wise? Is it wise to take sometime off and not rush into anything? Or is the job market very bad and I should have taken any offer.
In would say join her, expand from 2nd place to say 10 places organically and then you are sorted. When you have an option to be your own boss why not take it, I would have just grabbed it
