There are unions for all doctors, auto drivers, bus drivers almost all professions have a union of sorts but why is there no union for engineers who can organise collective strikes against corporates I mean if collectively all the engineers raise voice won't the monopolic rule of corporates be affected because as of now it seams no one is intrested for thinking about us the companies do as they wish the government regulations are hardly of any use safe to say they are more or less supporting the corrprates
Engineers in India often work in diverse sectors, making collective action tricky. Plus, many prefer individual career growth over unionizing. It's a complex situation, really
But doesn't that just leads to exploitation and one sided rule of corporates
Even I thought a lot about these things what will happen if all the employees do a strike until our voices and concerns gets heard. Trust me it would be a historic day. my major concern is the tax burden on us, it's just too much, everyone knows only 2% of the population pays taxes and it's mostly on us only

Looks like you can't register a union unless you're employed by a certain company. Self employed people can't register unions.
But it is okay to create unregistered/unofficial unions which don't have any legal right to create contracts ...
It's infuriating how everyone's advice to deal with layoffs is side hustles, wasting your life away to constantly upskill and reducing spending. Basically everyone here is saying "live life like shit to appease your corporate overlords" ...
