Recently I realised, I have been spending too much time on GV but at the expense of twitter and Instagram (Not that I am proud of) . Thanks to fellow viners for their witty and heartfelt contributions!!
So thought of regulating my screen time and last week, it was down to 40 mins from 1 hour+ on an average. Have turned off notifications too, and wish to bring it below 30 mins. 
Curious to know what's your daily average time spent here..

I've been trying to actively avoid Social media platforms for the past few years but spending time here feels much more productive and useful compared to most others (bakchodi and comedy is bonus ofc).

Anyone else in the same boat? 😂

This is worse addiction than smoking, drinking. 

Haven't watched any short/reels for 5 days straight feeling like a void inside. 

But its better, Watching reels/shorts would give a feeling of satisfaction because of the dopamine release.
So seeking other experiences for that dopamine hit. Life is getting better.

I spend a sad amount of time mindlessly going through Instagram. Want to cut down, and replace with better apps, that actually make my time better spent. Curious which apps you all use that make you feel better after you use them?

Spending a lot of time on Grapevine now (grapes got me addicted)
It is well until the addiction takes over,

Social media can never make you feel better, they are designed to lure you into unproductive expensive experiences

It’s clear to me that this isn’t good for me. My interaction with the outside world and being in the present is inversely proportional to how much I use IG/smartphone.

IG is obv the strongest drug, but in general want to be more conscious about what I do on my phone, when Inuse it.

Looking for genuine advice. Please help 🙏🏻

People who reduced IG/Smartphone usage, how did you do it?

I’ve now started taking active steps: 
1) Deleted IG immediately, just using it on Web cuz sometimes I need to use it for work
2) In general reducing phone usage. Consciously keeping phone away at night time and also not keeping it around always
3) Have set wallpaper/background so that it constantly reminds me not to indulge in doom scrolling, and reminds me to be mindful. 

It’s just early. But I felt I owed it to at least share some updates. Very grateful to you all

These past 6 months my performance at work has been dwindling and one primary reason I attribute is memory loss. I find it difficult to recall key points of mails, design reviews, MoMs etc. and often end up missing out things at assigned tasks. What's scarier is that it not only applies to new concepts, I often find myself forgetting even formerly familiar things. During morning updates and discussions I find myself giving uncertain inputs and asking shaky questions because I find it hard to remember key terms, figures etc. I sometimes even forget to pick up some assigned tasks altogether. Random brain freezes have become everyday affair.

Sleep-wise it has been little medium-poor but not so bad that could explain such drastic changes. I'm 30 yr old, male, unmarried and don't have any major health issues (except some stress / anxiety and accompanying Irritable Bowel Syndrome condition).

If anyone else experienced this, how have you dealt with it?

Yes everyone experiences this 
 I sometimes forget what I was working on 
 I forget things in short term 
 I don’t know if it’s some kind of coping mechanism 
 The only solution is to write stuff or journal not just personal but work stuff too. 
 I used to have Jira but now I have a piece of notebook with me too giving me the top priority tasks.

I have messed up my attention span to the point where I am not able to sit and focus on something for 10 minutes. 
I need to study for a switch  but i am not  able  to do so.
If anyone has any tips to improve that, books, meditation, or anything that worked for you guys.
