I got three job offers for SDE2. I accepted the offer (30LPA) with the lowest pay but loved the interview process, loved how they didn't waste my time (offer rolled in 2 weeks). Even their Google reviews and Glassdoor has 5 stars. Early stage startup, but they have a tech product with a very bright future (seed funded). And culture is amazing, founders are bright.

Second offer was from a mid-sized fintech startup (series C funded). Offer was for 34 lakhs. The interview process was okay but that set me off was that they wanted to conduct another design round after my final Hiring Manager interview as their team categorised my interview as "Weak Hire". They even told me that to my face. 😂 I cleared the subsequent design round but the whole process was lengthy (1 month).

Third offer is from an AI company with horrible glassdoor reviews. They took 2 months of time to finish the entire interview process. Even the product doesn't seem like it will survive in next 4-5 years. Offer from them is 42 LPA.

I got laid off a couple of months ago, so instead of higher pay I went to the company where I could learn more, get good peers, and increase my skillset. I hope that this decision makes sense. I tried to negotiate with Company A but they were unwilling to go beyond 30, I did mention I have other offers which are higher. 

I didn't include the joining bonus and ESOP components in all companies, but they are there.

Please help me decide if I made the right choice

I am unable to choose a company to apply for due to its reviews in AmbitionBox, Glassdoor etc. 
 
Even if a company has 4+ out of a 5 in overall review, I am skeptical about it because of the few VERY negative reviews it has. 
 
Can somebody please help me with this confusion? How do I choose a company? 
 
I don't want to work for a very large company like something that has more than 5000 employees. I am ok with working at a seed startup that less than 10 employees too. But, I am seriously concerned about the team culture, salary and growth.

I got an offer from Ola Electric for a Senior Engineering role in Backend dev. Pay is good and team looks interesting too. But I am very apprehensive about their culture. Their glassdoor reviews are horrible and the recent interview in YS Bhavish gave was cringe max. I am a hard working guy, will do solid 8-10hrs 5 days a week. But it looks like that won’t be enough. One might be made to work late nights and weekends routinely from what I heard. And Bhavish saying he doesn’t believe in weekends has made me a lot more anxious.

My current company is going through financial troubles. I will definitely have to move. I will get some other role though if I wait for a few weeks.

Could someone working at Ola or with recent experience advise me here.

So our company is going for campus placements and people from my alma mater have been reaching out to me on Linkedin asking about the work culture and review in general. Personally, I wouldn't advise someone to join the company. I want to let them know about the actual scenario (which is bad) but also I don't want it written for obvious reasons. I don't know them personally, so, can't call them and say. How to handle this moral dilemma?

I have an offer from above 3 companies for their Analytics team and need to make decision in next 3 days
The offer numbers are more or less same with 10% deviation so not a decision factor for me right now..

Need inputs on following factors to simplify my decision to join - 
1) Team culture, My current Org. has very stressful and bad culture. So, looking for some good place to join where the team and Manager are Atleast supportive and will help in career progression 
2) Build business and Product understanding, My seniors have suggested to get as much knowledge and exposure to business and product as possible and this one is very imp. in long term
3) Best tech stack, Good to have but not necessary : Want to work on some new and relevant tech stack to be relevant in constantly changing market. (Unsure if exposure to GenAI and LLMs are good to have in analytics career path

And finally if any Org./leadership/manager related comments one can suggest that would be helpful too…
this is a very important decision for me and my career growth and would like to stay with this for next few years for sure..

4yoe Engineer turned Product Manager. It's been 8 months I joined this B2B SaaS startup as an APM. Engineering team... mostly interns. Most of my time goes into execution following up with devs. Is the PR reviewed, is the bug fix deployed. No Jira, scrum, sprint planning whatsoever.

CEO runs the whole show. Only fear driven product management. I have no idea what it means to work on vision or strategy. My career has started off with a shitty foundation. Everyday I feel like quitting. What should I do? Quit right away or wait n switch to a better company?

Any reviews on Classplus? I have a job offer. Hearing culture is bad

I have 2 Offers, both from start ups, A is a consumer faced growing startup with good & lots of work! Pros of A are: Culture seems good, maybe good quality work, peers okay! Cons are : No flexibility with WFH, package 4 lakhs less than B, maybe lots of work.

Pros of B: Higher package (+4 lacs), option to work from anywhere, dont know about kind of work!
Cons; SaaS based startup so don’t know about kind of work I would get, maybe dashboard or external services integration, WLB may be fucked up! 

What should I join? I am in dilemma, what if I join A and I get overwhelmed with work and get burned out, package also less.

What if join B and I do not get quality work and do not grow as a Frontend developer?

TLDR : I've received a job offer from a startup in Bengaluru with a base package of 14LPA. This opportunity came through a connection who holds a senior position in the company. Currently, I'm employed at an early-stage startup with a small team, working on a great product, with a package of 10LPA.

The story behind this: 
I was laid off from my previous company due to their financial issues. At that time, I informed my manager to keep me in mind for any future opportunities. Subsequently, I joined a smaller startup with a 20% increase in salary as a SDE 1. I am happy with my work-life balance and satisfied with my role in building a successful product with a substantial customer base.

Recently, my previous manager, now in a senior position at a mid-sized startup, referred me for a role. Although my second-round interview didn't go perfectly, I've been offered the position based on his positive feedback, and they are offering me a base salary of 14LPA.

I have responsibility in my current company and my resignation will effect their timeline. also i don't want to ruin my connection with my manage also who offered me the new job.

I'm uncertain about what decision to make. Any advice?

Base: 40L, Nothing else

Any thoughts on this offer, also does any know anything about this org, i saw reviews on glassdoor & it is rated 2.9 which is very low. There are many reviews stating the management is toxic. Please lmk your thoughts

Thoughts on the offer

I have 2 offers for an SDE-1 position and I'm not able to choose between them.

Offer 1: 
Pros: Large product based US company. Work is tech stack agnostic which I was looking for since I wanted to move out of my current stack. I've heard it's chill.
Cons: Salary is lower than what was discussed initially. After I cleared all interviews, I didn't have a proper discussion about salary from the HR which kind of seems like a red flag.

Offer 2:
Pros: 15% higher salary. People were more friendly and more open to questions and discussions, I feel they treated me with more respect. I could have a greater learning opportunity there maybe.
Cons: STARTUP. Tech stack is similar to the one I'm currently using and it's not the best choice for scalable and maintainable services. More hectic. More stress. More responsibilities. They haven't raised a lot of funding so I'm a bit unsure about my future there.

Any opinion on what I should go with?

I wanted to ask how authentic are reviews which are posted on glassdoor about a company. Its getting very hard for me to choose a company

I am getting some interview calls but when I look up the company on glassdoor, some reviews are quite shitty and are telling people to stay away from the company.

I know that It depends on team to team, but then how do you decide to join the company, reviews are the only thing we have to judge.

Moreover, even if the reviews are good, how do you know they are legit because there are many PR companies at work, posting fake reviews are nothing but childs play.

How do you guys decide to join a company?

Cleared all rounds. Waiting for offer letter. Looked up for employee reviews on Glassdoor and other platforms. Quite a mix of +ves and -ves. Not able to figure out if work culture is good or not. Some even pointed out they force you to work for 14hrs just because they pay you high CTC. I don't wanna be judging based on unverified reviews. If anyone here currently works or have worked at Rubrik in their Frontend Engg team, it would be great to drop some reality here. Don't wanna get stuck in a toxic culture like me last company and regret it everyday with no basic WLB 😅.

What is it like writing at Rubrik as SWE ?

I recently got offer from an early stage startup in banglore. They raised a total funding of $5.19M over 2 rounds.

My offer is 13 LPA + 1 lakh retention bonus
5k per month for commute and health insurance

I have past experience of 2 years working with 2 startups and building apps from scratch for them.

Honestly I'm really confused about this offer, it is for sure better than my previous offer but I'm not feeling satisfied.

Considering joining Velocity (HSR, Bangalore) in the capacity of a product manager but I have read a lot of negative reviews about the company on Glassdoor. I also checked their LI and saw that a lot of employees had left Velocity in less than a year. Can someone give me reviews on -
