 Recruiters ask for relevant exp which in your case will be zero and you may not get call backs / conversions because market has enough candidates with experience. 
  
 So learn enough that you are able to lie about actually having worked as a developer instead of QA. Just make sure that your experience letter doesn't say that. In all likelihood, the first company you switch to won't verify the experience letter since it's released much after you would have joined them so it'll be fine.

Learn to code -> watch YouTube videos on full end to end projects-> do full stack projects -> learn how to host them, and make it online -> share how you built the whole project on blogs and LinkedIn -> do this for 4-5 projects -> start applying for jobs-> you’ll be confident on whatever they throw at you in interview and everything .

I'm stuck in support role, handling incident tickets & publishing status reports since 1.5 years. My learning is almost null.

I'm currently doing java DSA (350) & picking up on springboot tutorials. Given the support job role, 90 days np, & current market, how difficult is it to land a backend developer role. (Happy to take paycut).

Or should I just quit my current role & enroll for some placement bootcamps.

I’m working at RBL Bank as an Associate Application Support Engineer, where my tech stack includes Oracle, RPA, Python, and Postman API.

However, my real interest lies in development, specifically as a Java Developer or Fullstack Developer. If I get an opportunity to work as a developer, will my internship experience and current salary make an impact, or will I have to start as a fresher?

Hey everyone, I'd like to hear your thoughts. Have any of you successfully aced an interview solely through tutorials, YouTube, or side projects without hands-on work experience? 
I am a SDET exploring a transition to SDE role, internally tried within my company ,not happening due to various reasons, hence trying to switch over. In order to achieve that, I've worked on full-stack sidd projects, practiced DSA, and made a good "tailored" CV that gets me interview calls. But I am currently facing mixed experiences in interviews. I am able to answer a few but struggle with some questions and seek advice on how to improve. Hi , can folks here guide steps /suggest how to get SDE role at entry role . I regret giving 2 yrs a career for the civil services exam. I graduated with BTech in  2021 . If I had only sat for college placements at my Tier 1 college, I wouldn't have been living with regrets. I have been doing projects in the MERN stack . Hello community,

This post is for getting guidance/opinion on the role switch from support role to development role. I really need help from fellow colleagues and exp professionals to proceed further.

So, I had 2.5 years of experience in SAP domain and recently I have switched internally (within the org) to the software engineering team that has complete back end work to do for a foreign client. Tech-stack is Java 17, Eclipse Jersey, MySQL, MongoDB, Azure Cloud and some other technologies too.

Parallelly I have been a part of an online platform for software engineering courses (eg. Bosscoder etc), where I learnt DSA, spring boot, HTML, CSS and JavaScript with React framework. The front end engg. part is not covered yet, but a part of the curriculum.

Now my doubt is, I am planning to work for some months here and in my resume, stretch the starting time of the SWE role,  to shadow down the SAP experience. Like 4-5 months experience shown as a year or so. Tell me if it can be a good strategy to reduce barriers of not having experience to join SDE roles in prod-based MNCs. (I know, that I will have to showcase deserving skills, based on experience, in the next company to get an offer, but still!)

Secondly, can the backend framework (Jersey) become a barrier to the job switch to java spring boot roles. Some people told me that experience matters and not the frameworks. I need ur opinions.

Lastly, I am recruited as a Senior software engineer, I will have to prove my worth not just to other companies, but  internally within the team. How can I learn more in less time, to equalise the skills with the job role, not 100% but even 60-70% would work. Where to start, what to take care?!

Hi all, I’ve been working with oracle for almost 2 years. It feels stagnant now. No new skills, newtech to work upon, moreover my position is Associate SDE but I’ve been with QA team since beginning. I’ve talked to manager regarding same but no fruitful outcome. I feel stuck.
