Although I am not living abroad but can relocate, here is my assessment 
 1. Top talent - these are the people who have the cutting edge opportunities in either academic or industry. They would have no regrets. There is no equivalent opportunity in India. 
 2. Low talent - these guys are unable to work hard or lack political skills et all to do well in India. They have some job abroad but that is the best for their ability. They want to come back but can't 
 3. The middle talent - these guys are good either in India or abroad. But given enough time, with marriage kids, home loan etc they are unable r o move up the ladder and get stuck. They are the ones always thinking the grass is green on the other side and want to relocate. But because they have been abroad want equivalent pay which entails leadership position in India but they do not possess the skills. The biggest regret is with this group. They are just biting time.  
  
 I am sure there are other points about Infra schools corruption daily hassales etc is well known

But if given an opportunity I do want to go abroad, it’s just difficult. I see folks here that moved back to India intentionally. Why did you do that? What about India made you come back?

How do you deal with this guilt of leaving your parents behind when they need you the most? Also, if you have done something regarding this, please mention.

Guilt of staying away from ageing parents

After reading replies in grapevine for dystopian policies, HR policies, work culture, companies to avoid(looks like all companies should be avoided), related questions I'm kind of regretting as I took the decision to stay back in India and not pursue masters abroad to live with my parents.

Given how pathetic the work culture is in almost all the startups(I'll go with 99.99%), politics and poor work life balance and living in a country where I don't get any tax benefits even after paying 30+% direct income tax, is it really worth living in this country anymore ? I'm feeling very sad, looks like I missed the opportunity to go abroad as I'm 25 now. Only my love towards my parents is holding me back since they both are around the age of 60 and I don't want to be the son who will make crores of money abroad and not be with them in case of any emergency. I'm don't want to leave them alone. Looks like there is no hope working in India. 😔

Is living in India worth it?

I'm a 28-year-old data scientist with approximately five years of experience, and I'm considering the pursuit of a Master's degree in the USA. My plan involves participating in a pathway program, beginning with three months of coursework at IIT Jaipur, followed by one year of studies at Drexel University in the United States, with a focus on Machine Learning Engineering. However, it's important to mention that Drexel University is currently ranked 98th in the United States. What are your thoughts on whether I should proceed with this plan, considering my age and experience?

I'm choosing to ignore your last statement about India unlike other triggered people in the comments and answering the actual question.  
  
 Reasons to move: 
 1) 0 tax 
 2) In general higher paying jobs but also higher cost of living (You need to evaluate this basis the offer you get compare it with your current salary after PPP) 
 3) Better quality of life (Road safety, Infra) 
 4) Opens more easier avenues to travel around Europe 
  
 Reasons to stay 
 1) Parents ( Now you'd say I plan to visit or come back but no one I know till today has come back despite having crores of savings.  
 2) Friends and social circle established here over the years 
 3) Few rules in Dubai are stricter than that of India's (You have to figure out these differences and if they work for you) 
  
 To me there seems to more upside than there is downside in moving to Dubai however both my spouse and I decided to never shift out of India for our parents.

I’m currently regretting staying back in India, especially with the constant comparisons to my successful cousins who moved abroad. Despite having a good income and a comfortable lifestyle, I can’t shake the feeling that I might have had a better life – pollution-free, maybe tax-free, and less stressful, had I moved.

On the flip side, I worry about whether moving abroad would actually work out for me. Would my children grow up without any culture? Without having a bond with their grandparents? Will I be okay with my parents growing old alone?

I’m in a bit of a pickle and looking for stories from both sides.

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟱 - During weekends and lunchtime with other Indian friends, endlessly discuss 3 topics (1) When are you going to get GC, and is your priority date current? (2) How Modi is transforming India (3) Cricket 🏏

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟲 - Buy a home. Have 2 kids. Spend the next 15 years dropping them off to various classes, attending birthday parties, and visiting home depot for various home projects 🏠

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟳 - By the time, you are in 40s, you have saved enough. The plan for returning back to India has not worked out! Now find ways to spend money. Buy a Tesla or BMW 🚀 Also your Hyderabad property isn't lucrative anymore as INR has further depreciated against $ so enroll into a difficult struggle of selling the property and getting funds back to the states

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟴 - And comes the time for a midlife crisis. A shiny car, big home, green card, and a high-paying job doesn't add substance to your life. Now do something exotic to add flavor to your existence. A marathon race, intermittent fasting or maybe opening a side business!

𝗦𝘁𝗲𝗽 𝟵 - In your 50s, after your kids have graduated from Stanford or MIT, discuss how your life would have been different had you returned to India 5 years after coming to the USA! 🤔

I am 31 M and am married with no kids as of yet. 

I have been to the US for my master's and also did a job there for some time. I came back to India in 2020 due to visa issues. 

Ever since then I have been thinking of going out of India, maybe to Canada (or nowadays Nordic countries are also accepting immigrants). But I am confused and unsure of what to do. 

I feel stuck here at my current job and feel like I haven't grown much. There are a lot of opportunities in other countries and the biggest motivation is lifestyle upgradation.

On the other hand, going to other countries would also mean a lot of struggle at this stage of my life, which I did the first time around when I went to the US. Plus there is this war situation happening in multiple countries. No one knows what will happen of that.

One more factor is - India is also doing fairly well and is seen as having the maximum growth potential in the next 5-10 years

What do you suggest? What are the points that I should consider? 

Also if I were to try to move out, which countries would you recommend I look at? What are the benefits?

A lot of us have had the privilege to be able to go abroad, but ended up choosing not to.

For me, it was just believing there’s enough growth here in the coming few decades + friends/family

Looking to hear if the reduced brain drain is actually true, and what makes people stay.

To people who choose to stay in India, what made you stay? 🪷

For me it was the army and followed by my corporate job. I never felt like leaving the country. It’s always better to live like a first class citizen in a 3rd world country than a third class citizen in a first world country. 
  
 In addition to this, family is what defines us as Indians and that kept me hinged back home
