Looking for Advice

The FAANG and unicorn employee salaries for even 2-7 YOE engineers is quite insane compared to the average Indian employee pay in other sectors of the economy. The average SDE2 at these companies makes 50+ lakhs per year in compensation (not “CTC” but real money) The average SDE3 makes 80+ lakhs which is frankly insane. What are you guys doing with all that money?

Hey guys, I’m a senior software engineer and I am planning to jump boat. Here are my current compensation details. YOE: 2 years Base Pay: 21.7 lacs Bonus: 2.5 lacs RSUs: 20.1 lacs TC: 44.3 lacs I wish to know where do I realistically stand in the current market and how much of an upside should I aim for while switching. I’m currently working at a B2B SaaS company as a PM. I have a great interest in analytics but not getting enough exposure here and my role has just got so redundant and more like project manager. It’s been really difficult in the last couple of months as growth seem to have stopped and I am really scared about my career. Experience - 1 Year Current Comp - ~17LPA fixed with some Esops Should I consider switching to analytics ( I am confident about my skills which will get me something in analytics ) given my current situation or try to get another good role in PM to which the market has been really cruel lately. Need some advice!!

Post CTC, YOE, Role (mine is 45 LPA, 4 YOE, PM)

Recently, I've completed 1 year into my role and my CTC is 16LPA. The company is a startup, and I've got ESOPs which are included in CTC. It has been an year, and I'm thinking of making a switch. But still can't decide whether I should bet on ESOPs and stay, or get a higher pay and switch? The company culture is pretty good, and it's a remote role, plus not much work load. :) But apparently, I'm worried if everyone else is making a switching companies with a 50% raise, why should I stick with 10% appraisal at a single company? Would love to hear your thoughts.

I'm in tech and making 10 LPA (1 YOE ). What are some of the investments I should do to able to make 10CR in 10 years? What all sacrifices need to be done to achieve this target while living a decent lifestyle?

Currently with 3+ yrs of experience and earning around 36 LPA ( 28 fixed and 8 esops ). Getting a feeling like I am not earning enough and also I am getting a FOMO looking at my friends who are doing MS and settled in US. I want to experience it, but not sure if it’s worth it or should I look for switch to get out that fomo? It’s now or never for doing MS as I am will be getting almost 4-5 yrs experience in next few years. Also, Feeling like I am getting old for MS Please give suggestions.
