I’ll go first. 

1. What kind of investor are you? 
I am an opportunity investor, and I do buy good stocks whenever they are in reasonable valuations. Below are my monthly numbers. 

2. Where’s the majority of your investment portfolio ?
I have three RE investments and one of them has loan. And I’m planning to buy a property in Goa or HP. 

3. What’s your monthly investment breakdown?

1.7L/ Month (approx) 

60k - SIP (mutual funds)
60k - stocks (smallcase, us stocks using vested) 
30k - as opportunity fund, this is transferred to a different bank account 
10-20k - for experimental investments in crypto, nfts, and some trading. This is a new segment and I don’t have much experience in this and that’s why starting small here. 

4. Anything else you want to share? 

I am learning to invest on a daily basis. Reading, videos and podcasts are my sources. Some of my tops picks are Whiteboard finance (Marko), My first Million and Smart Passive Income, finance with Saran, and Akshat Shrivastava.

I started investing pretty late into MF's. Started with around 500-1000 rs per month around the covid period. I have stayed with those funds mostly equities. Till date have a decent XIRR of 30+ with around 20+% profit. (Dont even know what xirr indicates)

If you 'want' to buy something, wait day or two (I wait a week) to know if my heart is still stuck at it. Generally (mostly) it is fleeting craving and I end up not buying.

How do you guys decide mutual fund to invest in? Most people go by recommendation by friend or ca but if you want to do your own research it's still tough to decide. Tutorials online will narrow down 1000s of funds to couple of hundreds. How to decide after that? Or is there any other sip that I can starts like ETFs?

Age: 23

Monthly Mutual Fund SIP:
- Total: ₹91,000
  - Axis Small Cap: ₹5,000
  - Axis Mid Cap: ₹10,000
  - Parag Parikh Flexi Cap: ₹28,000
  - ICICI Prudential Nifty 50 Index: ₹32,000
  - Motilal Oswal Nasdaq 100 FoF: ₹16,000

The rest of my salary goes towards expenses, FDs, NPS, P2P investments, etc. I am also accumulating wealth in short-term investment products for a down payment as I plan to invest in a house next year (for rental income).
Not willing to withdraw from mutual funds at least for the next 6-7 years, maybe even 10 years.

Should I shift my mid-cap/small-cap SIPs rom Axis to Quant due to the hype around Quant AMC these days?

Where do you typically invest your salary, and what returns have you experienced? Also, what factors should I consider before purchasing health insurance?

Q.1) Which apps offer the option of one time lumpsum + continuing the monthly SIP in a fund?
(Lumpsum to makeup for what I failed to do last year) Is what I am thinking the best strategy and practical? if not, please suggest

PS: I have downloaded Groww and I don't see it offering many funds to invest into.

The power of compounding really works! 
Started with a meagre salary of 4L/annum in 2018. But made sure to SIP 5K every month in Mutual Funds, and kept on increasing with career progression. This could’ve been more but I wasn’t able to regularly SIP during the two years of my masters I did after my first job. 

This may not be as much as the other tech dude bros out here sitting in CRs but this is a big milestone for me and all I’d like to say is SIP really does work and it’s all about being in the long run. Onwards and upwards only now 💪🏼💪🏼
