Rant: Losing offers due to college
Got multiple intern offers from series A/B heavily funded startups ,but can't join as they don't allow async work . And I have to attend college from 8 to 6. This and my remote requirements basically removes most companies from the list. FML Hopefully found a early stage startup that allowed theses conditions. But I could have joined a much better role but can't. Two more years of this hell
My two cents is - chill out. College is a time of your life where you find yourself, you'll have enough time to earn money and gain work experience later. But you won't ever have a time in your life again when you can basically just hang with friends all day and no one bats an eye.
Don't be disheartened. If you can secure offers that means you have competence at this age. Right now find a company that suits you and go for the ones that rejected you in summers and winters.
Don't use words like hell for college. It will then actually become one. Instead, network with senior professors and use the facilities you have to groom yourself and build a personality.
