So I am from a non tech background guy with 2YOE in mobile app development. When I started Mobile app dev that time I found it interesting but now it’s getting boring and the work is sort of monotonous. I want to shift to backend or maybe more towards software development. I asked my manager for switching my team but he doesn’t want me to leave the team. I tried applying else where but obviously I had no luck. Any suggestion on how I can make this transition? I’m desperately looking for helpful advices/ suggestions.

It's the same story with so many platforms. They start off well, then start making it difficult for users over time to get matches. Eventually it becomes pay-to-match completely, especially for men.

Is it really that difficult to run an honest matchmaking platform that actually does its job for a decent price or just ads? Has anyone tried starting their own or worked on platforms like these?

Why do dating/matrimonial platforms end up going for unethical practices

Actually I never dated , never had a girlfriend. In school I liked a girl but she rejected me . In college, I found that girls in my class are not compatible ( I mean they have other interests in their life , I have other interests) . And now I will be graduating from college, have a job of 8.55 lpa but never had a girlfriend. I thought I can date in the office but reality hit me that I can't date in my office. Going forward ( after a year ) I am aiming for a remote job . Then I will go back to my village ( I have reasons for that ) . But I fear that I can't get gf there because my village is conservative. Let me tell you that I am a shy guy and I don't believe in this cliche " go out and talk to women" because I can't start talking rubbish just for shake of talking. So please advise what to do ?

Well, I see no point in continuing my current job - it’s off no value add. There are few opportunities for BD or anything else. While it has been <6 months in the org, I will have to continue this for the foreseeable future. I am planning to go for my Master’s in FY25. Ideally, I wanted to work my current job for a year at least - but it’s pointless (have sought manager’s opinion and other colleagues thoughts too). So, in the short term, I have concluded it doesn’t make sense to wait further (given the timeline). 

Plus managing GRE prep with a demanding job while possible seems very tricky especially from a quality standpoint.

Problem: If I quit after working for just 6 months, justifying that on my profile seems tricky (while possible). 

Question; What bearing will this move have if I make it? And what kind  of implications if any could it have on my Masters application? 

Any advice on navigating this would be much appreciated.

I’m a 2022 grad, hit by onboarding delay for 8 months after graduation (during those time I grinded leetcode approx ~400 questions, learnt spring boot ) Recently I joined one of the WITCH companies which I was offered in 2021. I was trained in Java but now they put me into Mainframe project dealing with COBOL programming and DB2 and I’ve never felt this underconfident and worthless in life. I’m planning for MS in CS in 2024. Does this work experience help in anyway? Is a switch needed before I apply to masters?

I have a 3yr long relationship which started off as a fling but later we both got attached to each other. We don’t know if this is love but we know that we will not be able to make it to marriage due to multiple reasons. Failed to spend enough time with my parents. Life moves really fast. If you're around your parents take care of them, spend time with them and if you're away then make sure you visit them often ☮️

I have been employed at a service-based company for the past 2.6 years. Recently, I have been assigned to a new project with a different team. However, my manager has been quite demanding and insistent on my physical presence in the office. Additionally, they expect me to participate in video calls for every meeting and ask detailed questions about my work, often focusing on minor details. Unfortunately, the tasks I am currently working on no longer bring me excitement. Moreover, my manager's authoritative behavior is not something I appreciate. I am starting to wonder if I am experiencing burnout, as I have never encountered these issues before. Is this a normal situation, or should I consider seeking a new opportunity? Other than these work-related challenges, everything else seems to be going well.

I need advice in choosing between flat or plot in Noida, currently I'm living in Delhi in parent' govt house. But after 2-3 years, I have to move out from here. I'm bit confused, which location to choose, Since flats in Delhi in decent area is unaffordable, I'm thinking about Noida. Can you please suggest me good location to buy flat or plot. This aint about tech but I’m switching. As this is my first switch, a large part of my professional life was spent with good colleagues who were also freshers like me and they were god-sent. Even my seniors were great and I never felt that superior-inferior things. Now that I’m switching, I’m just feeling all alone again. I stay with friends but I’m not feeling good about how it goes in the new organisation. Can someone please give pointers on how I should be in new office so I don’t end up alone?

I'm need advice

So I've never been in a relationship. During my college days, I was really attached to someone and liked him a lot. We were together for about a year. Not relationship together - but it's like when you're close to someone but not given a relationship tag yet. But after one year, I got to know that he was talking to his ex girlfriend and then he left me giving some reasons. I was devastated.
Since then, I used to keep pushing men away.
Whenever someone tried to come close to me, I kept on pushing them.
And that's how I've never been in a relationship.
And now that I wish to be in a relationship, every guy around me is either already married or about to get married.
