Switching from a big company to much smaller one

Hey folks, I have been working in startups for my entire experience and was wondering if it would be worth it to switch to a bigger org for better growth/learning in this market? My reasons to switch 1. Low learning potential: I am a senior SDE here and WLB here is really good, too good in fact (I barely work a couple of hours if even that), this is leading to a lower learning potential, the work I get assigned, I complete in a couple of hours and while I have been given bigger projects, the learning is not there, I can easily complete them, and since I am the senior SDE here, I cant ask anyone to review my code/performance 2. Startup is in early seed stage, and there is definitely an uncertainty here about surviving till next year 3. I wasnt given much of a hike despite a level promotion (just 10%). My manager is really awesome and one of the best guys I have ever worked under and honestly I wouldnt even think of switching if I had 5-6 YOE but at this point, I think i need to learn more and get some more guidance/review from experienced folks to grow. My salary is decent, but having my friends work in FANG/FANG-equivalent is definitely not helping my FOMO, specially when I hear about their projects in their orgs and compare it to mine which are nowhere near theirs in score or complexity. and the reason why I am hesitating to switch is seeing the layoffs news coming in everyday, I can prep for interviews in the next couple of months and probably apply then but seeing all of these layoffs and folks finding it hard to land jobs is making me fear that I will lose this job with nothing to show for it in the end. So, should I switch in this market or stick it out in my current org until market situation improves (considering it wont improve until next financial year)? Hello folks, I am working with a startup (now acquired by a big fintech) as FTE for 1.5 years now (Full stack dev) , my TC is 18 LPA (14.4 Fixed + Variable) in a permanent wfh model. The reason I want to switch is that my tech team is very small (4 people) and there is no senior person in my team from whom I can learn something, thus my learning has become stagnant technical wise. Should I try and switch company or stay in the same for more time, considering the current market scenario? PS: I am a 2022 graduate.

I've 3 yoe, currently working in a very small startup as full-stack dev. Company's revenue is declining from Q4 last year. Every month layoffs are happening in each team. Last week, a dev was laid off from my team. No hike till now, working here from last 1.5 years. Although, got performance bonus twice. I want to work on a few ideas, tried to work on weekends but it led to burn out and started affecting my health, suffered from mental fatigue. Please suggest.

I joined my current org right out of college and have been working here for 2+ years. I really like the company’s culture, openness while pay is also great as per my standards and needs. I recently interviewed for a startup casually and got an offer as well. Now I’m in a dilemma whether I should join the new org or stay although the pay jump looks pretty decent to me. P.S. Not a brag post but genuinely looking for answers as I’m really out of touch with the industry and given the current recession, can’t really make up my mind. Current TC.- 20 Offered - 26 + variable

I have been working in this startup for around 1.5 years now, and soon I am going to be the only developer here, as the other 2 devs are going to leave soon. The company is now calling me to Bangalore. I am thinking as there will be no devs my growth will be very less, as this is my first organisation after graduation. But looking at the market situation it feels like I should just continue with the current org. I am not sure what to do. YoE; 1.5 year CTC: 9 LPA Saving: 1LPA

Currently in an MNC at a non-tech product role @ 6.5LPA, the manager is amazing and the team is chill. Work is also fun but the company didn't give appraisals this year. A brand new startup approached me and is offering 10lpa fixed. This will be my first ever switch, should I dew it? I'm 22.

Is it good idea to switch to a small startup in india from big startup\company like gojek where the future is uncertain till next layoff is announced. Hike may not be more than 25% in other company. Any opinions?

My background: 2024 grad, intern at an startup in Bengaluru, internship extended for 3 months recession is the reason told, no chance of fte. Now, getting an offer from a startup. Team of 15-16 people. Pre seed stage startup. Will be building product from scratch. Lots of learning. Offering decent hike and since i m part of first team...getting small equity too. Should I join this offer? I m confused. But also thinking...it is risky but a lot to learn and growth potential is v high. Tell what do u guys think??

I am 2022 passout 24 yr old.I have joined one service based startup after college for 6.2 Lakh.But Out of 10 months I was on the bench for 8 months so in that period I have prepared for interview and Got the offer of 17 LPA.Its been 8 months in this job , But from last 2-3 months my growth is stagnant and I got bored as their is not much work as well.So should I go for another switch or wait ?

Hey everyone, I am currently working as a security analyst working for a company that provides pentesting as a service to its clients. I am getting paid 17lpa fixed salary. I earn 80-90k from freelancing every month pre taxes. So should I switch or not. It's been 3 years I am in this company and I can't see much growth now. I will be doing the same work. The work is full remote and the culture of company s also nice and workload is fine. What should I do? Should I look for a product based company but most of them call onsite. I want remote work only that is mandatory.
