It's been 4+ years since I am in bangalore, I have lived in multiple areas and it seems pretty common to destroy new roads built for sewage repairs.

Cars are a terrible way of transporting people, they take up a lot of space and slow down traffic movement. SF has the best and widest freeways but has the worst traffic. Being a middle income nation about to invest in infra, we have to make a choice if we want to go the American way? Or can we come up with an Indian solution. After a decade of flyover construction, it might be too late. We will end up with even larger city with 4X the road length and much worse traffic. I believe in the European approach of paid entry for cars in Central Business District to discourage car ridership and funding Public Transport.

Inspite of so many "better than earlier govts" reforms in the last 10 years...the govt hasnt done much needed reforms in the income tax regime. The govt is doing a few good things like dissolving inept psu's, selling off entities like Air India (privatisation), etc. But when and how are we going to increase the tax base?? Why is govt failing to do so? It is high time we rationalise it. People have this weird notion that Delhi/Gurgaon isn't safe and that the folks here are as warm as an ice cube in Antarctica. Can you believe that? As most of the people here are working in corporates and most of them belong to the top 1% , i want to know the opinion of this segment of people about the modi government as problems faced by these people are totally different from the other population . Has the Modi government helped in growing businesses in any form ?
