To Quit or Not Quit i.e. the Question!

4yoe Engineer turned Product Manager. It's been 8 months I joined this B2B SaaS startup as an APM. Engineering team... mostly interns. Most of my time goes into execution following up with devs. Is the PR reviewed, is the bug fix deployed. No Jira, scrum, sprint planning whatsoever. CEO runs the whole show. Only fear driven product management. I have no idea what it means to work on vision or strategy. My career has started off with a shitty foundation. Everyday I feel like quitting. What should I do? Quit right away or wait n switch to a better company?

Sadly I got D band, I had resigned but due to personal circumstances I couldn't find an offer and resumed back. However timing was wrong so happened around March end when I rejoined. So being a C3B my salary is now reduced by 20% I am thinking to take a break and upgrade my skills. I can't study along with job. I am trying to switch but somehow not getting any interview calls for Scrum Master role. Feeling lost. Any referrals or any guidance is highly appreciated. Thank you for reading thus far.

Hey peeps! Currently working in a Fintech company in Mumbai as a Frontend Engineer with over a year of experience. The current CTC is 7 LPA. I feel like the growth here is limited and from the past few months there's been a lot of micro-management. Even the CTC is not up to Mumbai's expense standard. I live in a soapbox and pay like 1/5 th of monthly salary. Standard of living has been decreasing while it should be opposite. + I've 6 days work week with 9 hours /day shift. Although I've decided to drop in papers soon, I'd like to hear your opinions. Brownie points if you refer me to some good early stage startup probably in BLR or Pune or Remote.

I am thinking of leaving my current job and focus on myself, getting to know myself better etc. Currently I have enough money saved for my expenses for next 6-8 months. Everyone I have asked about this say don't leave your job if you don't have another lined up, in this tech winter. I understand their view point. It aligns with what my parents think as well. Is there anyone who has had done this in the past? Do you recommend this route? Are the consequences far too severe? Does anyone have a different opinion from one stated above?

I am a Tier 1 MBA grad with ~ 2 YOE, My CTC is 18 LPA. I have quit my job and I'm expecting a 25-30% hike for the next role (23 LPA) Is this a valid expectation to have? I know I'm already being underpaid, but considering the current market situation it seems difficult to get that kind of a raise. What should be the appropriate amount to quote?

I am an APM with 1 YOE, I am fed up with this toxic culture & couldn’t feel any progress post college. I am thinking of quitting in the coming month & go home & figure out for a next gig, also move to Bangalore. Questions: Should I quit or not? Would I get a better comp? My current comp. is 12.35L What are the things I should note before I make a move & what would you advice personally.

I'm new to the job market so I wanted to understand how frequently should I switch companies when I get a better offer. I've heard that sometimes your employer themselves will match a competing offer. But how frequently should I do this? Every 2 years? 3? Doing this too frequently can make me an objectively worse candidate so if anyone can tell me what's the ideal duration, that would be great. Thanks in advance!

I come from a good college (tier 2) with very good placements but because of mental health reasons ( I was severely struggling) i had to skip placements. After being unemployed for 4 months after graduation my family forced me into taking a job I never wanted. Very low pay, extremely toxic work culture and insane work hours. I don't even have energy or time left to prepare for interviews or even apply to other jobs. This job is slowly pushing me back into depression. And it even hurts to see that all my friends are earning 17+LPA base + stocks and other benefits, while I can't even get a 15CTC job. I feel my career is over and see no hopes for my future. Should I quit so I can atleast prepare for a better job? Any advice is appreciated.
